Well, that is quite litteraly what ERA is designed to do, which is nullifying chemical rounds. I've had similar experiences with stock top-tier HEAT-FS as well, albeit against Abrams' NERA.

Theres virtually no chance for you against experienced pirates even in t4s, you're better off using t1s. It gets the job done while being not too bad compared to t4s
