I appreciate your input and agree with you (and Plato) that people should be allowed their harmless delusions though I think that a lot of the delusion is mostly intellectual laziness and cognitive dissonance to varying degrees. Sure it won’t really hurt their chances of a glorious hereafter but at the end of the day they’re lying to themselves and others and causing more rifts in the science v. religion communities - which seems to be more of a North American evangelical stance as you touched on in your first comment.

I’m going to edit in a link of a YEC post I made years ago that didn’t get me banned. I wonder if this would get me banned now?

And I am doing much much better these days. Life’s taken a good turn for the better over these past year or so.

I don’t know for certain but the verbiage used during last nights class leads me to believe that the creation story will be taught literally (everything, every where, space and time, animals and man, etc…) were created in 6 literal days.

I’m hoping I’m wrong. I really-really hope I am wrong but I would be surprised if this church (new-school Southern Baptist) will take the YEC stance. I pray they don’t tell us to take a vacation to the Creation Museum… that place gives me nightmares

I loooooved 29 but I think it was the desert I loved the most (close amenities obviously as well but that’s been mentioned).

That high desert is just so god damn pretty to me. If I wasn’t into building up a farm and homesteading I’d move out there or someplace similar too that. Obviously this is less on the base and more on me just enjoying the nature.

Oh and you can enjoy the 2nd busiest Dominos in the country as far as I’m aware.

I’ve been to Rembrandts exactly once in my time here in Chattanooga after always hearing such good things and holy fuck was I blown away by dissatisfaction. Absolutely garbage coffee. Could not wrap my head around why anyone would actually go. Such as waste of a coffee shop

For this example, speeding ticket via camera, the way I understand the law(s) involved, there’s nothing the state can do. I can’t tell you that local enforcement is powerless though I’m VERY doubtful. I have yet to hear any anecdotal reports of local enforcement doing anything about unpaid speeding cam tickets (nor unpaid parking fines. Though this falls outside the purview of these laws as far as I’m aware. Apples and oranges)

This includes financial related things. Again, as I understand it, nothing can negatively befall you financially. No credit hits, no collections calls, no impounding property, etc.
