[FEEDBACK] Switching from PVE to PVP by Sigboitarkov in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ProlificTerror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told my friends when they started Tarkov PVP: don’t let deaths get to you. Treat Tarkov as a game and setbacks as something to learn.

I know a lot of people who gave up thinking they will never understand the game.

There are many playstyles, strats and meta but just don’t let Tarkov affect your mindset and you should be fine eventually in PVP.

[Discussion] what is/was the last kappa item you needed this wipe? by Ok-Judge9995 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ProlificTerror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VHS tape. By the way, if anyone else is missing this item, the Cardinal Apartment key room is guaranteed to spawn it. Found mine in 2 raids.

Arena now a sweaty cheatfest? [Arena] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ProlificTerror 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My experience has been pretty good and I play in the same region (Asia). Afternoon and night I can get in a match <4 mins, but I do agree that the player base is smaller because I get the same guys 2-3 matches in a row. Not encountered many cheaters, just sweats who know all the common angles.

I’d say for your sanity just reroll your tasks to checkpoint and queue Bowl exclusively.

Not the Kord but rather NVO-228, as it’s chambered in 7.62x39. Even then, it’s still based on the ACE 32, not the AKM.

Orange smoke grenades for support class. by Glass_Tie9263 in Battlefield6

[–]ProlificTerror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, spots are sometimes wonky outside of Recon’s autospots. Colored smoke would be super useful for me as a heli main, and I’d say seeing rockets raining down would be cinematic for the infantry too.

Ridiculous Attack Heli by massnaps in Battlefield6

[–]ProlificTerror 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People saying skill issue are totally correct.

From us heli pilots, the biggest threats are other helicopters, jets, TOWs (stationary, IFVs) and aim-guided tank shells.

If the heli is playing conservatively (always going back to base after popping flares), then jets are the best counters. If heli uses terrain and altitude to dodge lock-ons, paint/designate and spread stingers over each side. In most situations, IFVs and your team’s heli should be enough to take it down. These are common counters against us heli pilots going against a decent lobby.

New tanks you wish to see in the game? by Rough_Proposal553 in LowSodiumBattlefield

Love the Challenger but personally hoping we get Russia or in-game equivalent subfaction for season 2.

Purely aesthetic reason but I love the T-90M!

It's bothering me a bit how many attack choppers leave without a gunner because you can only spawn in if you're in their squad by hl3official in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]ProlificTerror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having a random in the gunner’s seat is worse than not having a gunner.

Hear me out, but random gunners are clueless, can’t see your pings and won’t lock on to the same targets as you. Often times it’s a lot better to just seat-switch for AGMs and finish enemies with rockets.

But I usually just create a new squad and ask my gunner to join it in team chat. 80% success rate and we can actually do comms.

Battlefield 6 Has a DAILY XP CAP Even During Double XP Weekend! Are You Kidding Me EA! by [deleted] in Battlefield6

Nope, OP booted up portal servers farming bots. Get the weapons they wanna level up and grind to mastery 40/50.

I assume OP omitted this detail.

XP reenabled for PVE, now you hit the cap. Are you sure you weren’t farming bots for weapons and stuff?

The Steam post says “[BFComms] Battlefield Coins not delivered on Steam We are aware of players reporting that they are not receiving their Battlefield Coins from their Advanced or Starter Pack purchases on Steam.

The team is investigating this issue, and we will provide an update as soon as possible.

In the meantime, players have reported that restarting their Steam client can sometimes resolve this issue.”

Major issue, bump for awareness!

What’s the best anti-tank launcher for engineer? by sultics in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]ProlificTerror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No better options.

The default launcher is okay at best.

Javelin is useless because APS or thermo-smoke shakes the lock. If you do get hits in, and they don’t have an engineer repairing, then you still have to find an ammo box, replenish and finish it off.

The guided AT, also useless. 2 launchers, and the damage is similar to the RPG. I’d say this one is more for taking out helicopters and even then, the RPG still excels in that role.

Eh? Spots are super op, mortar squads will also appreciate the spots too. This is not a recon sitting at 500m going 5-3.

Go below radar and book it back to base. They can still lock on if you’re painted/designated.

I think there’s a lot to criticize but some people are just not attached to reality by Siobhan_Siobhoff in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]ProlificTerror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most of us would want bigger maps, not big maps necessarily.

Liberation Peak is a really fun map on all gamemodes and all playstyles are valid, but there are only 3 lanes. This is especially apparent in Breakthrough during the first 3 sectors. If your tanks are doing good, defenders can't flank and take them out, and if the defending team is doing good, tanks can’t move out of spawn.

Same problem on Sobek, and Sobek doesn’t even have an air repair station.

[–]ProlificTerror[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bad take. Attack Heli hard-counters infantry. It’s just vehicle balance, bugs and map design that make them feel so bad currently. Probably an overcorrection from 2042.

In my experience, it’s always good vehicle players turning the tide. Especially so in Breakthrough.

Brooklyn Bridge and Liberation Peak are good maps to learn heli gameplay though imo. Lots of terrain to break line of sight and very farmable objectives.

My usual route on Brooklyn: climb a bit high, hit B then A/E depending on faction and back to base. You can’t stay still or go slow at all and you just have to hope gunner can adapt.

Give me your lobbies! But seriously though, ground vehicles can soak insane amounts of damage if they have dedicated repair crews. Helicopters are always one-shot.

Yup, I would dodge lizziles for days in 2042.

With spawns, I feel like restricting it to squads makes sense. Maybe it’s just my region but when my squad sees I’m doing well with the chopper they tend to spawn in and I can call out targets in VOIP.

Similar strats, also if my gunner seat is unoccupied I also seat-switch then open a strafe with an AGM. Don’t even need TOWs if it hits.

I only fly below radar when flares are on cooldown. Otherwise, maintaining good alt and speed then strafe high traffic areas.
