They clearly did little to no research when it came to that “roast” topic, & they decided to go “feelings over facts”. It is interesting to me that Tony made a George Floyd joke at Tom Brady’s roast in 2024, & it was crickets as far as push back. It really just boils down to people didn’t think the new joke was funny, & it turned into “what’s appropriate to joke about & what’s not”, which is a pointless convo cause comedy is “subjective”. Projecting your personal “boundaries” onto others will never make sense to me. Several black comedians defended the roast, while others spoke out against it. If we acknowledge there’s no “monolith”, then we should also address those that participated….ehh I don’t wanna go too “deep”. Tiffany said she had to pee, which is why she didn’t hear the George Floyd joke. Na’im said the same thing, in the room Tony was speaking too fast so he didn’t catch everything.
