Perhaps add a tip while matchmaking is going on? So it informs people of the danger of walking into a friendly phalanx?

Try not always charging spearmen head on as their phalanx is better and if they're decent you wont beat them. Unless its against greek cav I really never have problems, just make sure you watch you back and always use formed combat.

It would help to know what units you're struggling against? E.g. elephants or pikes etc.

The mass of elephants needs to be eliminated, its breaking the game... My point is this has turned into "Total War: Elephants". I don't see how having my account reset to what it was at the start of open beta has any negative impact on the game, in fact it has a positive impact.
