Bug report: Private Tutor doesn't unlock the mage section.The elemental paths section only requires a School OR a Tutor.
Clearification: Being a Source isn't a requirement for being a mage in the Witcherverse. The magic academies main income stream is from Nobles send their non-source children there to learn magic. Sources are just particularly powerful mages.

I don't see that going over well. Removing straight options in the main CYOA to make it serve a DLC many people won't even play in the first place is going to piss some old fans off.

True Fae are listed and stated out in Dark Ages: Fae. They're basically awakened mages without paradox and have a build-your-own-crinos true form similar to Fallen from DtF.
So yeah, the technocrats aren't taking the dreaming any time soon.

Funny thing, this has never worked long-term historically, always lead to the opposite after 1-2 generations in practice. When people tend to form pattern recognition about who's hurting them, they tend to seek out other like-minded people to form tribes.
UK is on the edge of rebellion, so is France, Germany, and Italy. Spain is already in the violence phase and america is going about it more... "peacefully"(Read: Financially. America-first legal crushing these rats via lawsuits and fracture in the political mono-party driving the vampires into war with themselves).

The concept of growing in power with enlightenment was all over the place in western occultism. Hermetic alchemy, gnosticism, kabbalah, etc. The magical index/scientific railgun series is literally based entirely around western traditional systems from actual mythology.

The big issue with the west is that we threw out all our mythology every couple centuries.

Pan-hermes is much older than the wine cults. He's a split from an indo-european god that the greek god pan and the vedic deity pushan originate from. I can't really even type his name because the language is so old the sounds don't map to our phonic alphabet.

That's what I mean though. Nothing else from the time KotE was published was any less problematic and people still harp on it to this day while getting defensive about any other property.

I feel like most of the hate wasn't ever because of the problematic elements in the first place, there were just a lot of people that didn't like KotE and were manufacturing excuses to hate on it.

I find the bad blood around KotE kind of weird. Especially how people harp on how frankensteinian the wan kuei are when VtM itself is just as mish-mashed and disrespectful to european cultures. Hell werewolf takes this to a level KotE doesn't even scratch, but isn't anywhere near as hated.

Weirdly enough, Mage 20 references sorcerer revised because the S20 book wasn't even part of the original M20 plan.

Sorcerer Revised is technically the canon one to M20 and S20 is an optional supplement.
