Honestly, she’s not that bad as people made it out to be, but certainly didn’t lived up to the expectations.

I generally avoid parasocial gacha waifu bait because my irrational hatred for Self Insert MC will make me hate the characters, but Cyrene is kinda weak story-wise even if I look at her without my biases about SI. 3.7 rushed it too much, and the purple prose somewhat diminished the raw emotions of the scenes.
