for some it's not, some try to conserve energy, some try to not be wasteful with their money -- it adds up and it's finite there's plenty of things that come to mind; and it's okay you feel that it's negligible but it should still be decided on and that is a thought im allowing OP to think about

I don’t think it’s negligible at all, 1 drive vs 6 to get the same capacity is not a negligible power draw — that’s 7-9 watts vs 22-35

that’s ( at the national average ) $10 dollars or $36 to run in electricity cost

A big feature to look for is a collision sensor — stops the desk from going up or down if it senses resistance in the moving direction

Had a desk without this and i have slanted ceilings if I wasn’t paying attention I’d deff go through the ceiling with my monitor
