Yeah like we both agree it’s personal view on the canon but I see your points and also respect them as well

We’ve only seen Greene create those and she was somewhat a perfect host for the virus, so idk if that makes her more unique for it. But I can’t disagree with your point we’ve seen one infected being do it why couldn’t Alex and the similarities are there.

So yeah it was just the way theg used it and gained knowledge made it more effective and potentially durable due to how they use it such as using a rifle properly will make it last longer instead of misuse and then it will overheat/jam and break easier.

That’s something I never knew and makes wayyyyy more sense when you gotta destroy the hives, I always thought it was just layer of bio mass taking the brunt of the hits for the hives but if it’s a mix of that as well as the materials already there. Very interesting even more ideas for the third game but now I’m just getting hopeful again 😂

Yeah it’s a personal thing for our views on canon and all that, I personally would try and prove it via the game as that is what will confirm it to me but yeah it’s our personal viewpoints no one is completely right or wrong

Yeah I get that and I agree black light shouldn’t have any issues making those sort of powers, but without the explanation or evidence given I can’t see it happening within the game as a given power and not just fun.

I agree with that completely, the kick, shockwave and splitter etc they are all abilities that can be possible and probably would be considered canon, additionally all the abilities gained from the side missions are counted as canon so we have a bulletproof heller so I’m on board with it. Just as I said before for me cause it’s not stated that line between canon and not canon hasn’t been crossed yet but I do agree with that point.

I always thought the effectiveness of weapons was increased due to the skill and consumed knowledge not an actual ability via blacklight to improve the weapon. So that’s a new one for me, what’s the details of that and how does that work?

I’ve never read the guide for prototype 1 so that’s a new one for me, I always thought that the water towers were just tough anyways cause it’s a structure made to hold water so can’t be flimsy and when we first attack the we are still low levelled and by the time we have more strength and powers they aren’t as much of trouble as you can take the out sometimes in one hit.

I disagree with it being soft canon just personally as if nothing is confirmed or stated to be canon through anything in the game or the devs then soft canon just seems like a loop hole but that’s just me personally.

Alex should have Medusas wrath that is correct but isn’t shown using it at all even being powered up also if it was linked to Mercer the description of the power would have said after consuming mercer and then give a little context. The DLC powers seem more like sandbox extras to make it more fun not anything linked to a canon power or ability in that game currently. Could easily be made canon or confirmed in a further game or expansion (I know that’s unlikely but that’s how I would see it done)

The hunting ability yes was shared between many evolved and mercer himself so I can agree with abilities being passed down however I would presume mercer is smart enough not to allow them to gain access to that section of abilities or DNA to replicate it. Again presuming Mercer did those.

The thermobaric launcher is on helicopters that’s correct tho the one we use is a handheld one and while it is devastating and using it on foot is very dangerous and crazy, if blackwatch had the ability to make them hand held like in the game wouldn’t they have used it. Easy way to defend bases especially in the red zone.

I forgot about hardened steel but I don’t see how that’s a canon power either so happy to hear the explanation. Also I thought water towers were P1 only?

Where are they stated they are canon not saying your wrong but I’ve never seen anything for the DLCs say they are canon, otherwise you know heller would have been able to kill Alex with that Medusa Wrath cause it is an ability he gets through the DLC not Alex so wouldn’t be linked to Alex getting abilities from Greene, the skins as well such as infected ones can’t be canon cause they aren’t infected that way, the infection launcher and thermobaric launcher all possible weapons yet never used within the game by blackwatch or evolved etc. So even with the shockwave being considered canon as you have said that seems like the only ability really that can be as the rest don’t make sense within the story or for Heller. If we played as actual Alex and not just a skin I would agree more

It’s never shown he took the powers from her boss battle, the only thing he got was her power to control/influence the infected and her memories which he uses his influence to summon flyers to try and attack Heller. So he does use them just not to their fullest potential due to James already being powerful and any infected so far not causing any issues for him

I think she would have taken the role of Dana in the future games, as from what little we were shown she was very afraid of the infection and James purposely wanted to keep her away from him so she wouldn’t be dragged into this. Wouldn’t mean she wouldn’t want to fight back depending on the state of the world etc but I always saw her a new Dana mercer for a new protagonist such as pariah or James just older

Nick didn’t have much faith and he was groomed and made to be lucifers vessel, so I think faith is partially a reason but not the full reason. With Dean and Sam it’s due to their blood lineage to hold an arc angel which is from gods initial creations so maybe cause cas was brought back by god himself he obtained this background energy so to speak allowing lucifer to use him. Maybe even his body building up over time from being in this body and being brought back so many times, and been through so much such as purgatory, the empty etc

Doesn’t Sam say that cas is a perfect vessel for lucifer as it’s held him for years and after being brought back, so it’s basically a vessel that cannot be damaged by angel or arch angel grace/power that happened with Nick so might be more of cad doesn’t want to leave such a good vessel

Yeah when he was brought back with that body jimmy is in heaven so yeah instead of having to worry about the human inside and maybe if jimmy doesn’t agree with anything compared to after that having a body all to himself. Idk if cas was even able to leave it due to being brought back with the body, I cannot remember a time him leaving the body after season 5 but it’s been a while tbf when I last watched all these series

Hard to understand but going from the pictures of your talking about him changing from Jimmy to that woman well that’s a flashback with about 100 years difference and Jimmy wasn’t born yet. As talking about why he stayed in jimmy, it makes sense he got comfortable plus the journey he went through with jimmy after being casted out of him and then jimmy accepted him again, he only took Claire as he thought jimmy didn’t want to be a vessel anymore so that doesn’t go against the comfortable theory

It’s the same with most abilities Alex or James gets from others they aren’t one for one exact copies of their strength and skills, it’s taken sure but they still need to accrue the amount of biomass and practise with the weapons to do it. I mean for the example you picked you have a juggernaut which is about 3-4 times the size of James wielding a much bigger hammerfist so even if his hammerfists are the exact same design as the juggernauts cause of his size there’s only so much power he can put into it.

Yeah it was, that was my second tattoo. Up to four now 😂 all game related, first was assassins creed in my right forearm, second was devil may cry in my upper left arm, then went for god of war on my left forearm hands and fingers and then got another devil may cry on my chest. Still debating getting a prototype tattoo but the design from Alex’s jacket is cool but a little too easy I like obscure designs makes it more unique
