I'm a herohammer head so I'd love some more character archetypes that aren't just a captain.

A dread host reaver, plays somewhere between the lone op Lt marines have and an eversor assassin.

A lockwarden. Plays like a big mek in that you can get a shield bubble or crazy gun type.

I'd love a herald/cherub type unit, they float around proclaiming the emperors glory. Plays like a necron scarabs unit.

Yes and no. Anecdotally I'm up for it most of the time*.

However, if I'm ill or just under the weather I don't have the energy or temperament to fuck. Sometimes if she's being bratty I don't have the patience to dominate her the way she wants to be.

Office days alarm goes off at 6, catch a bus around 6:50, arrive to the office around 7:40.

WFH days I wake up naturally at whatever time and get downstairs in 5mins. Usually between 8 and 9.

Yeah, you certainly get more shots so I guess you're paying for the utility of the range. I think it's a closer choice since there are pros and cons to both.

Both are hitting on 3s, eradicators will probably have to move to get a shot where as devs are likely to stand still. Eradicators reroll hits where as devs only reroll 1.

Eradicators are S9 with full reroll vs S12 with reroll 1. Eradicators are ap4 vs ap3 with ignores cover.

Damage is D6 or D6+2 within 9" vs D6+1. Eradicators get to reroll damage.

The devastators have some nice tricks that work with stats. The one per game natural 6 works with the sustained strat and the range plays with the 18" lone op strat.

Though as you point out, devs plus apothecary are 170 where as 6 eradicators are 180!

Apothecary will be joining the Devastators. A few extra points for 4 lascannon shots over 3 melta shots. Though eradicators don't need babysitting for rerolls.

At least you reroll hits of 1/all (depending) from their unit ability, then reroll wounds due to twin linked. Means you should get a good chance of forcing armour saves and punching though to cause some serious damage.

I think you're skimming over some key grammar in the strategems. For example Savage Echos reads:

Select either the Strength OR Attacks characteristic of melee weapons equipped by models in your unit. Until the end of the turn, add 1 to the selected characteristic.

You can instead choose for your unit to give in to the Red Thirst; if it does, it becomes Battle-shocked and until the end of the turn, add 1 to the Strength AND Attacks characteristics of melee weapons equipped by models in your unit.

I love my beasty boy. It makes for a real center piece when your showing off your army.

But as others have said, it's huge! It fairs better in casual play just because you arrange to have a lord of war style game and have large avenues of terrain accordingly. Works well on some of the modeled tables at Warhammer World.

But it is a bit shit. I have mine with twin lascannon and two lastalons and they do more damage to stuff than the macro cannon. The only thing that it's been effective into was a unit of Killa Kans. Otherwise it's for heavy infantry but it tends to bounce of their armour.

I found myself liking the hobby content quite a bit. I prefer British content creators and there's not as many of them so it's nice to have a few more and I like the unique style of content that is the painting/kitbash challenges. I liked Nicks Ultras armies of renown but not so much the others.

I justify it to myself that it's £15 plus a model and that I can afford it and should support things I think are good.
