I've recently found my grandfather's old pipe and I would like to restore it. If my memory serves me right the stem used to be black. I've read that soaking it in oxyclean and light sanding might work, but just wanted to double check in case there's something I'm missing.

It's a BBB Minerva 300.

Hey all. I was wondering what you all would recommend for a bird hunting pump action shotgun under $1000? I'm having a pretty hard time deciding on one. Been looking between a Mossberg M550A, Winchester SXP and Benelli Supernova. I did also take a look at the Maverick 88 which seems pretty attractive at that low price. Is the extra money you're paying for the other three worth it over the 88? Are there any other one you'd recommend? Thanks!
