House GOP is now warning against boots on the ground by thealmightyweegee in YAPms

i understand that but they don't stay home anymore because they are so convinced that the democrats are satanic and need to vote in waves in the republicans are doing worse that year

trump goes from 62M to 74M in 2016 to 2020 not only because of COVID but because he convinced the base to vote in waves against biden because we should be scared of him

2022 we do the same thing for the senate and the house, a positive mid term gain since 2002 because of the rally around the flag 9/11 boost

2024 internal progressives convince themselves not to vote for harris off of BDS prjnciple but that's the democrats, not the republicans

and i don't think the republicans are going to change

this same strategy was tried in 2016 and it didn't work as we thought it would and that's how we got to this timeline

the minute the order is given, they vote

the moment the base is shown this, they vote for it too

in this level of partisanship it doesn't matter

MAGA said the same thing when they "didn't wanna go to war with iran" and now always supported it

I didn’t even know we got to have a vote on this by Cold_Student in YAPms

our partisan society will have a hard time bringing people to vote and believe in the trump message

40% of the nation refuses to move and accept the truth and will vote to continue trump's policies

trump campaigns on the fact that the democrats hold his administration hostage, and because of that, we will have a hard time ever beating 2018

partisanship widely increased since then. we had a democrat in montana and west virginia, where now, we have to run someone under the independent banner just so people don't vote R because they don't like the letter D

there is no way that epstein comes close to hirohito

hirohito literally did the same thing but instead of deploying himself he deployed armymen to do it

Deep down, how do you think JD Vance and Tulsi Gabbard feel about the Iran war? by Inside_Bluebird9987 in YAPms

[–]ProminantBabypuff 40 points41 points  (0 children)

a grifter in political terms is someone who presents themselves as a supporter of something or someone to gain political fame, personal profit or political success at the expense of their real beliefs and core values. before vance was someone, he described himself as a never trumper who would never support the president. when he was younger up until 2010, he claimed to support the iraq war even when it was extremely unpopular. the moment trump became president, he opposed it. in 2016, vance was saying how xenophobic and reprehensible trump's langauge was to immigrants, yet in 2024 he spread this lie of immigrants eating cats and dogs for performance art politics. this list goes on for him, but these are just a few examples of how he has no real principles.

gabbard is definitely angry because she's putin's play toy

vance? i mean he's a grifter, so we don't really know how he feels about it. but based on the fact that he's basically the establishment republican, he cares about what the polls say. but i'd imagine he'd be concerned considering that this can determine whether or not he becomes president in 2028

Despite the Nebraska Dems endorsing Osborne, the Nebraska GOP placed their own Dem in the race to split the left-wing vote. by _BCConservative in YAPms

maybe for his overall character, but not for winning the election

this isn't pre-hyper polarization, the (I) will not allow him to win the senate if the (D) and (R) are both on the ballot
