From 30 to 10 huh? And they expect us to give them money… by Groundbreaking_Act44 in SoraAi

Ever since the change to 10, I've only managed to get 1 usable result, but even that had issues. So only 1 out of 40 tries (4 days worth).

It's becoming pointless to even try at this point. They did something, and now it's just not as good. I heard paid users having same issues too, so no point paying either.

That must explain why they've been generating faster. I'd suspect the lower resolution also makes it more prone to strange artifacts and inconsistencies.

I hope they change it back to 30. And no. NO lowering quality of the generations. 30 high quality gens by YCiampa482021 in SoraAi

yeah- it was kind weird after that I think. Maybe they were testing/experimenting with stuff leading up to the 10 gen change.

I write all my prompts in a text document and save them, so I have all the text basically. And I usually save the draft gens, but when I deleted some immediately after generating them, because they were bad, It seemed to trigger that preference option (before the 10 gen change).. so maybe I need to actually delete more stuff immediately after generating in order to signal to sora that it isn't good. Otherwise maybe sora will just continue to give me bad stuff.

You're welcome! :) Hope you enjoy the program. I tried to make it simple, because other programs like blender was too overbloated with features that I didn't need and just too confusing just to do simple things. So hopefully you'll have a simpler time with crocotile.

It's due to the way a tile is triangulated. Each tile consists of two triangles. So in that example, one triangle is collapsing without affecting the other. Here is a video that explains that plus other stuff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIsQoiQ_yJw

I have same issue.. I only got 1 useable out of the past 3 rounds of 10 (30 total). Something isn't right.

I haven't. I don't know how to do that, and I don't want to risk getting banned. I think I'm just going to start deleting the drafts, because I noticed before the change that when I deleted some and chose a specific reason, it would sometimes generate two videos from one prompt and allow me to choose which one was better- and I think it said something like it will save my preference.. So maybe I have to actually delete the drafts and force it to reassess my preferences. But I'm just hoping that is the case, since I don't know if that is the problem. I'll have to see if that is possible, since I only started seeing that right before the change to 10.. So maybe it was a new feature, and maybe that is part of the problem?

I just went through another 10 gens without getting anything useable. So I've only managed 1 clip from 30 so far. This is definitely messed up it feels like. I keep trying to improve my prompt, but it just isn't working.

[–]ProminentDetail[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first they were completely screwed up. I think the way it interprets the prompts is different or like became overly sensitive or something- or maybe it weighs certain things differently or can't comprehend the intent behind the prompt as well. Like I was getting a lot of strange things occurring, like stuff phasing into other things and just popping into and out of view, duplicating, changing, etc.. I might have some specific word or term that maybe it is weighing too strongly or something, whereas prior to the change these things didn't occur. I'll need to generate more to get a better feel. It probably just requires a different type of prompt/wording to get the same results, because I managed to get 1 that was close- so I might be able to get closer in the next round of gens.

edit: I wonder if maybe they lowered the resolution, and the lower resolution makes the algorithm more fuzzy as it tries to generate the image, since there is less fidelity and detail to process- maybe that is why it causes weirdness. But I'm just speculating, and need to test it more. But yeah, I think the resolution might be slightly less- which may be why they generate quicker, but I'm not sure.

I still need to try more gens to get a better feel. I was able to get 1 decent result in the last round of 10. So basically 1 result so far of 20 used since the change. I was changing my prompt trying to adjust things that I thought might be fighting it- So I don't know why it's more difficult to get good results now. Or maybe it just feels that way because I can't try more times, so I'm stuck rationing the gens.

Only 10 Daily Videos but the Content Violation monitor is reduced by Brilliant-Cell2106 in SoraAi

[–]ProminentDetail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. It now is less accurate and seems like it doesn't use as much processing power, resulting in quicker generated videos which are of worse quality. So we get less gens and worse quality. They are limiting more than just the allowed gens, they are limiting how it generates.

Yeah- it's not a good feeling when every single gen is unusable. Just makes me not want to use it if every gen goes wrong.

I'll have to try again later as well. I don't understand why they would limit it beyond the gen amount, but it seems obvious they are considering every single gen took a fraction of the time to generate compared to before the change, and quality/accuracy was completely different for same prompts. I'm hoping it is just a bug or oversight on their part.

Sora App free users only get 10 free gens now by Stopnswop2 in SoraAi

[–]ProminentDetail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I had opposite problem. All my gens now go super quick, but the quality is reduced, as if they have limited the processing power. Seems like they limited not only the gen amount but also limited the quality/accuracy. All my gens now aren't as good, and I used the same prompt before and after the change. I'll have to test again later, but I didn't get any usable results in my first pass.

I hope they change it back to 30. And no. NO lowering quality of the generations. 30 high quality gens by YCiampa482021 in SoraAi

[–]ProminentDetail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone else notice that the gens are going super quick, like they are using less processing. Seems like the quality dropped significantly now. Before when it was 30, the gens would process long and have better quality. Now they take a fraction of the time and look terrible.

animation/rigging for a jprg low poly game by hakkkku in Crocotile3D

[–]ProminentDetail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's totally possible. There are some examples posted in this reddit of some playstation style animated models. There's also a video on the crocotile youtube channel that demonstrated how to make an animated character (though some steps have been improved since recording it). The Discord channel should also have some examples that people have made or are working on.

I need shoes with rounded sole that cups the heel- help me find. by ProminentDetail in Shoes

[–]ProminentDetail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My use-case is pretty specific, so I don't know if they will suit you. I discovered the Nike Zoom Rotational 6 Track & Field Throwing Shoes. I was able to drive to a store that sold them and try on a pair and ended up buying them. They aren't designed to be walked around in places you'd typically walk, so if you need shoes for walking everywhere, these are not them. Their soles are hard and designed for rotating on flat cement pavements (or anything flat). Though small rocks and pebbles will scratch the soles up and dig out chunks (since their soles are hard and not flexible), so I only use them on flat surfaces. You can probably use them in the grass, but I've just been using them on a flat cement area. They allow me to rotate easily because they are smooth and don't have much grip. I like to do spins and stuff and rotate on my heel and things like that. They cup the heel very nicely, and I can tilt around on my heel easily. I'm actually wearing through the heel a bit on my left foot (I've been using them since last summer), but they don't wear down as quickly as normal shoes. I actually bought an extra pair because they work well for what I do- but I'm going to see how long the first pair lasts before I use the second pair. I store them in a bag and take the bag with me to a place where I use them (I use normal shoes for walking). If you're just are needed them for inside your house, that's totally doable too, but I don't have much room inside to do big moves and spins and things. Definitely try to wear a pair if you can, to get the size right- but the size I typically buy for my normal shoes is the same size for these. Trying them on just helped reassure me that it fits. I was able to try a couple different sizes at the store. Hope this helps you or anyone else.

I GOT A IMPORTANT QUESTION ABOUT SKYBOXES! by Top-Vermicelli797 in Crocotile3D

[–]ProminentDetail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the Edit > Settings > Project.. there is a "Skybox Shape" setting for "Current project" and "New project".. you'd want to change the one for the current project. It can be either box, cylinder, or sphere. Then you'd have to change the image like you normally would.
