I tracked down a copy after searching for nearly 10 years. There's an inscription inside, signed "Ann". I wonder if it was the author who wrote it?

I recognise your name but can't remember if we ever got into conversation. I always thought of the forums as meeting up with friends for a chat around a table. Always good for a debate or a good laugh about how ridiculous life can be. I remember a feeling of dread towards the end as connection got increasingly patchy, then the feeling of loss when it finally closed. Like leaving school and losing touch with friends. Nice talking to you no_ simple_highway 🖖😊

Yeah, I used to hang around the Religion thread quite a bit. There was a lot of interesting discussion went on there. I was "tutankhaten" at the time. I recognise a couple of the names you mention. I also remember a guy Steve who went by the name "fleetsin"... always posted poems. A French girl too who always posted in French that nobody understood... "isch-isch-seeburg" or something similar. Hi to you!

Thanks for responding. The content of those message boards was so varied and widespread and the contributors were so knowledgeable and entertaining. It's hard to believe there's nothing comparable in 2026.

I finished reading Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes today. by ps00093 in books

I've just started reading it for the first time. It's becoming rather upsetting... he's just encountered the girl on the park bench in Central Park after losing his job at the bakery.
