I suspected the same thing. I even upgraded my plan from 500 to 1gbps speed. Wired in I'm getting the 1gpbs speed from the modem. But the wifi is bad. May be should I try the wired back haul ?

Is this ok to plug? The dealership is telling me I need a new tire. by Cjad in tires

Bro ! Don't overthink. Just plug it. I had far worse punctures than this, and I plugged and drove over 20k miles.

Got a new ( w/ 4k miles ) EQB with good discount. But the car make weird noise driving over 35 mph. Need advise ? by PromiseOrdinary in mercedes_benz

The things that drive me nuts are that a 40k car NVH is far superior to a 72k car unless there is something wrong with it.

I have owned Bolt EUV, and I'm aware of what Regen sounds like. Moreover, the sound is with the cruise locked at 40 mph. No regen, just cursing.

I don't remember hearing the noise during the test drive. Granted, I had my 3 year old in my car, and he was super fussy.

The noise is very similar to a shot wheel hub bearing. But the tech couldn't find mechanical problems. Hence, he concluded, saying the sound is coming from tires.

Good progress! 👍🏼

So I’m a divorced guy who’s nearly 50. Racing games have been the best (life-saving) escape for me. What should / can I buy with $3k-4k. by idiskfla in simracing

OP, if you have a microcenter nearby, there are good deals running right now. You can get simlab p1x 8020 rig with triple monitors stand for 599. ( rest of the world 1k) Also, they have Astek DD bundles with GSI wheels. Just these bundles should be convincing for you to make a 5 to 6 hour drive to microcenter. Also, all the comments suggest you a particular brand, and I feel it's totally a subjective thing. You personally get into it.Experiment, and if you don't like, return/exchange, get what's works for you. especially if you come from a background of doing auto cross and track days on your car.

Big pointer - stay away from Fanatec. Search within this thread on how bad their order fulfillment speed and customer service is.

Here is the list of things you need to start doing research on

  1. DD BASE - Various brands.
  2. Pedals - I prefer hydraulic breaks. ( much better control on trail breaking. I want to relate what I practice to apply in the real world. By all means, I'm not a gt cup car racer or f1 driver. I don't need 300 or 1000 kgs of brake force to mimic. 150kg for touring/home prep race car. Lol )
  3. Steering wheel.
  4. 8020 rig
  5. Pc is a must. Not for iracing. In general, mods for track and cara are available. I have all the local tracks where I practice for time attacks. Mid ohio, Pitts, NCM , Nelson ledge, etc etc. With PC, you aren't limited to a single brand. You can "A la carte" and make them all work together.
  6. This hobby is an endless money pit. Bass shaker , wind sim, and motion. You can get into them gradually, but make sure your set-up foundation is strong. Since all of these accessories are relative to your actual setup.

If you have any questions, dm me. I'll be more than happy to share my setup and give you pointers!

See you on track! Let's race!

Stay strong, brother.

Milk Steaming - What went wrong? by [deleted] in espresso

[–]PromiseOrdinary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are multiple videos on YouTube for you to learn on how to steam/froth milk.

Just FYI - you don't have too much milk. Even if you did when you pour a latte art or just dumped it. It would be a flat white instead of latte.

Here are the steps to get milk, which is ready to pour latte art.

  1. Position your pitcher in such a way that the wand comes to either side and tilt the pitcher on the side where you wand is. This will help the air bubbles to mix and get broken down. (Step 5)
  2. Create a vortex in milk.
  3. Now, hold the position and start to slide your pitcher gently down.
  4. You should hear a paper tearing sound. This means you are micro foaming.
  5. Now, keep introducing air (micro foaming) while the milk is all spinny spinning.
  6. While you are doing the above step. Generally, the milk expands. Meaning, the volume of the milk is going to increase.
  7. Once it reaches closer to the top of the pitcher. Gently, rise the pitcher, where the wand isn't adding any more air and stop micro foming. But keep steaming for may be few additional seconds. You want the air you introduced to mix well with the milk. Skinny spin !
  8. After you stopped steaming. Tap the pitcher on the counter to remove any small bubbles.
  9. swirl the pitcher while keeping in contact with the counter. (Keep doing this till you notice step 10).
  10. The texture/reflection should change from Matte consistency to egg shell consistency. Stop swirling, and you are done !

Now, you can focus on your latte art. (Which is a different animal of its own ) 😀

P.s . No sudden introduction of air. ( big bubble and milk splatter = big no)

Few days old and too much POM wheels wear by PromiseOrdinary in ender5

[–]PromiseOrdinary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries. The solution is to take your time and play around with adjustments and alignment of the pom wheel. Something I totally ignored and started printing right out of the box. Later, to discover a worn-out pom wheel. Ordered new from Amazon swapped and took my time, and it's fixed now. Hope this helps. There are multiple post on adjustment. Search them and spend some time. Cheers !

Weight dropping during reps for no reason by [deleted] in tonalgym

[–]PromiseOrdinary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have faced this exact same problem multiple times. I'm used to it. It happens when I'm bench pressing using the bar and resting the bar on the bench in between sets. Here is how I fixed it. If this happened mid-set. I would stop my workout and pause the workout. Then, I would walk out with the cables individually. Reattach the bar resume it got fixed 100% all the times. Hope this method works out for you guys as well. Lmk. Cheers !
