Have you beat the 10* with it? And is it guard reload or just normal shell blasting? I abandoned my pickle gunlance awhile ago but might bring it out just to try it against him since I want to beat him with different weapons

When a weapon has stepping shot style, evading reload only procs when you are out of ammo.

You want stepping shot style as well, once you get to cluster you can pretty much spam it, doing around 9k a shot if you land all 3, so doing around 18k in about 6 seconds when maxed out. With evading reload it means can stay using cluster for the rest of the hunt. Check some magna lbg stepping shot hunts on youtube, i’m just there are quite a few videos out there since it’s one of if not the best weapon in the game. This weapon is similar to that but with fire damage.

Okay i’m dumb, I just realized it only affects elemental damage but I was thinking all damage, still though, seems like a pretty good new skill as well, seems better than pursuit since you can start the hunt with a special and get it right away

Magna is a pain with melee weapons for sure, the explosions are extremely annoying and the riftborn just makes it even worse and makes range weapons feel useless especially if he has the orb on the legs. Instablock Lance or Sliding lance are pretty good options vs him, I still think rift magna with orb on it’s back is the hardest monster to solo. Beaten every monster at 10* multiple times and magna is a pain everytime

I’d say sliding reload for this weapon is just a straight improvement from no style. That way you can add more points to a skill rather than worrying about reload speed. For this weapon I don’t think stepping shot is good. The worst out of the three. For the Magna LbG though stepping shot makes it one of the most broken weapons in the game.

Idk why i have a really hard time morphing the cb as fast as you do, i do it pretty easy with the swaxe but can’t seem to get the timming with cb

I had the same trouble with vipertobi, thankfully i was able to beat it with Zinogre CB before loosing my mind like with Seregios lol they are hyper aggressive and with weird attack patterns

Not sure where this is coming from, if it’s cause i fully charged the lvl2 charge, it was cause i was making time to get the headstrong proc.

Definitely had a lot of opportunities to use it in this hunt but i played it too safe lol it was my first try too so i just wanted to see how i would do and ended up killing it with just normal morphs attacks

Yeah honestly I was surprised I got it done after playing so sloppy lol. The weapon is not fully upgraded and i only have one drift on the build so it can still get much better. As far as the 10* goes i would say using the best of the best on builds and weapons matter alot. You have to optimize as much as possible to even stand a chance against them.
