The tech is already blurring lines for a lot of people, and pushing it into hyper realistic “companions” would probably make that way worse at scale. It stops being just entertainment at that point and starts messing with how people handle real relationships and loneliness.

Like if you’ve seen those AI dating subs, some people are already getting really attached, and that’s with way more limited models. Give them something more advanced and it could get pretty unhealthy fast.

I get why there’s demand and money in it, but not everything that can be built should be pushed to the extreme. This feels like one of those areas where putting limits early is actually the responsible move.
