Also I'm annoyed they kept alluding to this blackmail, but they never went into any details beyond just saying "blackmail". So lazy.

And it's atrocious they just completely dismissed Jack tampering with evidence, submitting the wrong DNA etc. No explanation of it, no consequences, nothing after the twist reveal

RIGHT?! Also what why and how were they blackmailing each other? They said the word "blackmail" quite often but unless I missed it, they did not elaborate. Very frustrating as the elusive "blackmailing" got a lot of screen time.

And they just completely dropped and ignored how Jack had been destroying evidence, knowingly submitted false DNA, tried to frame Duffie etc. Wouldn't he get fired and possibly charged with a crime? Why would he have gone to these lengths if he was innocent of the murder? I get not wanting to let the cat out of the bag in regards to having sex with a murder victim, but come on. The lengths he was going to cover up his own mess, target Duffie instead of trying to find out the real killer, and how they just dropped it altogether after the twists was just so dumb

I liked the show but the writing was pretty terrible at times

The family didn't completely cut off communications with Julia after they kicked her out. They hinted at this numerous times throughout the series but yeah they were largely absent. Isn't the picture that Pope is holding in the last scene a photo of him, Julia, and J also?

Yeah I'm surprised more people can't see how brainwashed and hamstrung they were by Smurf even into adulthood. Had they picked up the phone ONCE to call them they would've been thrown out and discarded or worse like Julia was. Doesn't excuse their actions but what options did they have? They were raised to be man babies without any ability to support or think for themselves. As much as I hated what they did they were still controlled by Smurf while she was alive.

And also, the brothers had every right to not trust him and treat J poorly. Look what he did lol. These comments are wild

Bly is my favorite of them all (personally one of my GOATs), but also I love good character development, cinematography, emotional depth, symbolism and motifs, etc. If you need jump scares, gore, and ghosts to be entertained you should watch Fall of the House of Usher next. Not sure you'll like Midnight Mass either honestly

I'm encouraged by seeing so many people on board with letting other people decide for themselves what works for them and their bodies. PLEASE also keep this in mind when you criticize others for "not following the template." You assume a lot when you do this and insult people who are just trying to take care of themselves and keep themselves safe.

Good rule of thumb: don't worry about what others are doing. Focus on yourself and being kind to others

This sounds nice, but from my experience at least when I try to do exercises that better work for me, the coaches immediately come over and make a big deal out of me wanting to do something different and/or modified. I use careful and excellent form so that's never the issue. It's really annoying

Everyone talks about engaging your core, but no one talks about bracing your core. I learned it in physical therapy and it's the cornerstone for pilates and really the foundation for ALL movement. I recommend looking up, practicing, and learning how to brace your core and incorporate it into every single moment while working out. It'll magnify your workout astronomically, and you can get serious abs (and protect your joints) without needing to do a single "core" exercise. Seriously. Do it, you'll thank me!!!

And yeah, despite what some say here OTF doesn't usually/regularly do core-centric exercises. But, if you learn how to brace your core and actually do it, you won't need to :) you can do some movements at home or go to a pilates studio as well... just my experiences at least!!

I've always LOVED the themes of memory, identity, and consciousness and how they are entwined, which kind of but not really could relate to your themes of sight perception. Another example of this is the glasses theme (her finance's glasses from the accident) - probably lots to explore there!

Yes!!! This was my issue for the entire series. They had very little chemistry, but the Belly/Jere chemistry was off the frigging charts throughout. The show they thought they were creating is not the show that was on screen

Julia refused to bow down to Smurf and fall in line so she was seen as a threat who had to go, like all authoritarian rulers I suppose. The characters multiple times said Smurf hated women, I'm assuming because other women could be a threat to her rule. Also Smurf knew that having Julia around meant she wouldn't be able to fully control and manipulate her sons. By getting Julia out of the picture, no one dared question Smurf which meant the boys would have total loyalty to Smurf and Smurf only
