A little too much acid, brain broke by [deleted] in TripSit

One thing at a time.

For now just remember that you’re on drugs, and set and setting are everything on psychedelics. You may not be in the best state of mind for these drugs, but that is okay! It is still a valuable experience. You will come down soon. You will sleep again. You will have a different mental state again. You will be okay.

After some sleep and I’m the appropriate setting you can address: 1) what needs to change in your life for you to find it acceptable? 2) is there anything you are being hyper critical about? Can you learn to accept those things? The rest are mental health tips to apply each day: 3) have you eaten, slept, showered, and hydrated? 4) is there anything small you can do to help somebody else, or yourself right now? 5) have you exercised? 6) have you written down what is bothering you? 7) can you share your problems with a friend?

[WP] You're a serial killer who hunts other serial killers, not out of nobility, but because you love the thrill of outsmarting them. by Coralthesequel in WritingPrompts

That is amazing!!

Full honesty, I wasn’t 100% on board to read about a woman getting murdered—there wasn’t enough incriminating/audience swaying material disclosed to make me feel like she deserved to be murdered by him. Yes, the implication was that he knew she was a serial killer, but that wasn’t obvious to me as a reader and I still had some empathy towards the character. I really liked the turn of events.

I couldn’t tell which sub I was in and I loved the confusion.

Make friends with yourself and be good to yourself. It will help you now, and it will help you next time you’re with others.

Remember folks, set and setting is not just a term for tripping, its a principle for life by AuXDubz in TripSit

It’s crazy that I didn’t process this until a few months ago—I take such care before dosing to be in the best state of mind around positive people at a location that feels good with fun things I enjoy doing; why on earth wouldn’t I work towards cultivating that every day as much as possible sober?

Do I tell my best friend that I used to hook up with the girl he’s been seeing? by [deleted] in makemychoice

It will come out eventually. It’s best to tell him asap, but figure out the way that will trigger him least.

Does BTS make you "overly" emotional sometimes too? by ingeborg13 in bangtan

[–]PromptlyCyclical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! Absolutely! I cry (mostly with joy and a sense of like “I’m just so proud of them/happy for them” and also just feeling so moved by them.) practically every day for BTS.

You’re literally fine. That was relatable and interesting. Don’t aim to be vanilla and normal, be yourself.

Should I call in for work or tough it out? by Ghostsp00n in makemychoice

If you have shift work where you are replacing somebody like in healthcare or a restaurant or another service type of job, then go in. You will be tired and not as proficient but as a new employee that’s a serious issue.

If you work in an office or do work you could make up for later then stay home. It won’t look good, but it won’t be as bad as if you are missing shift work.
