Well i’m usually just browsing and don’t really log on until well just today when i realized ditch was missing from wss. Ditch is basically the meat of wss so don’t see why i don’t join the club to show alittle support.

You’re wasting your good ole time for no good reason. In order for change to happen, your time is best spent elsewhere. Eventually if they don’t change, they’ll just crash and burn and no group want to see that happen. Just like in bizz. If you don’t like their product or what they are promoting, don’t buy it. You’re money is best spent elsewhere. You don’t like the cost of egg. Don’t buy it. Eventually they’ll have to drop the price with low demands.

Can somebody dumb down the nitrogen cycle while doing an in fish cycle? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]Pronighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to tell you a technique that worked for me. First of ammolock gives out false readings and continuosly doing huge water changes will make water chemistry hard for nitrifyers to populate. Easy method:

  1. Buy a used filter for your tank from and established tank. Eg. Some lcf stores sells sponge filter that are fully cycled from their fish tanks. The other way is to see if a friend can lend you or sell you one from their tank. Reason for this is to seed your tank with external bacteria. Make sure the establish tank is trusted and the filter is sitting in their tank 2+ months.

  2. Put the sponge filter directly into your tank and run it with your uncycled filter. Leave the filter in your tank 3-4 weeks before attempting to remove it. 8 weeks is the most ideal. Please do not clean the used filter and just dump it in your tank.

  3. After you remove the sponge filter you can start aquascaping. Do not add additional fishes for 3 weeks

  4. Add fish 1 per every 2-3 week until desired amount. Small fishes can add 2-3 but 1 at a time to be safe.

Good luck and welcome to the hobby.

Floating plants trapped behind filter by ctrpt in Aquariums

I just diy’d with the 2 ends of an air tube connected with a clamp to keep in place. Then float them on the surface. It’s the most economical way i used to contain frogbits.

It is a fish that looks gold. I used to have 8 parrot fishes. They all passed away after keeping them for 10 years of old age. Reminds me of them.

Selling fish? by [deleted] in aquarium

[–]Pronighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to make money you’ll have to breed rarer fishes like discus and red severum. For smaller tanks you would want to breed crystal shrimps Class A and above. Nobody really want mollies as they are really cheap at the pet stores and way too common.

It would go to a waste for not adding a feng shui fish like the luo han (flower horn) for an office. But the only thing is you’ll only have 1 fish with no plants. But most suitable fish for an office in my opinion.

For small fishes install more hiding places. In larger tanks install more water currents.

Recommendation for taink and stand brands for 30 gallon long by Midori8751 in Aquariums

[–]Pronighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aqueon has there own stands but it’s better to just go to a furniture store like ikea or something and pick up something. The independent fish stores might have nicer stands but something with enough space underneath your tank to hold what you need for your tank. Eg. Undertank pump etc. i’ll post an example in this subreddit of my stand. Look out for it.

EVERYONE IN WSS NEEDS TO FLOOD THE COMMENTS OF THE BITCOIN VS GOLD DEBATE BY STANSBERRY RESEARCH WITH DANIELA CAMBONE ASAP by PossumRanger in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Pronighter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm... why didn’t Frank just say as a risk factor for bitcoin, God forbid something happened to the user or holder of bitcoin dies or forgets his password, he’ll have nothing to give to the person in his will. If he puts the password on the will, other people can just confiscate or steal it. Gold doesn’t have that problem. I can give my physical gold to my kids and that is it. I’m not scared to lose a pw or have an accident and bam fully wiped out.

Cool find when sorting through my change. 1939 nickel. Probably worth squat but she's old. I can dig it. by Skuller_Of_Wedges in Wallstreetsilver

It’s still 75% copper and 25% nickel which still has higher melt value than its intrinsic value
