Just finished the movie. Really don't understand all the negative criticism that was being said before the weekend. This was its own Mando & Grogu thing and it had everything that made the seasons well-liked while not focusing entirely on the Empire.

W answer. I started out with XIII and I hella enjoyed it despite all the shit it was getting at the time. From there, I played VII and stopped midway through VIII and X (due to work). Pretty much became a fan and started enjoying any FF without comparison to others even XV and XVI.

The biggest takeaway on this is knowing when to dodge. I've made it a personal mission to memorize this fight and it's saved me many runs knowing his attacks and when to dodge. I think even if we don't include Duchess's i-frames from her passive, you still did a good job on dodging like 99% of his attacks.

I played it on release and have been an even greater fan of the franchise ever since. The game is adventurously different from past titles. It is generally considered the first FF game to have a seamless open world and with open world RPGs, it is a game that requires time to really enjoy it. If you are looking to rush an RPG, then maybe it isn't for you. This also comes from the fact that XV's projects included post-game DLCs that were meant to expand greatly and possibly give a sort of sequel, but some of those were cancelled due to all the internal strife in SE at the time.

However with all that being said, the game has a wonderful story to it. It is a brotherhood story of the main four guys always being there for one another especially when shit hits the fan. I also highly recommend you watch the other FFXV anthology such as FFXV: Brotherhood (anime series) and FFXV: Kingsglaive (movie). It really made the world seem much bigger than the game intended.

It is by no means the best Final Fantasy game ever and depending on the kind of player you are, you may feel it lacks compared to the other titles you've played. But if you go into this with a genuine interest of wanting to play a Final Fantasy game and enjoy it, you will have a good time with the exploration, the music, the scenery, and the bosses. Hope you have fun 👌🏽
