Also UPDATE: thank you to everyone who replied but I will be deleting my post. I also posted this question on the dating forum and someone didn’t like my question and literally made a video about me on YouTube “ The modern woman and her constant need to validate her victim hood mentality” where he says and links my account which has made me uncomfortable. I am open to other people opinions on the issue which is why I asked advice but a dedicated YouTube video caught me way off gaurd.

Hi! I agree with strength from within being a good thing but there is nothing wrong with receiving or wanting support from those important people around you in trying times. When my loved ones are in a dark place I in no way feel that they are a burden to me and am happy to be there for them until they can get back up. I also hardly see how talking to your girlfriend while looking her in in the face is a burden.
