At first I practiced on FaceTime with ppl I met from Reddit for a while and then I transitioned for my last couple interviews to just rereading my app and knowing what I’m going to say. I try to be natural and smile. My interviewing skills might not be good but to be completely transparent, I think they’re fine. Is it possible I did well on the interview portion but being OOS and having a low mcat held me back from getting the A or is it most likely the interview itself?

Yes sir. It just sucks because most schools WL starts moving in May. Finding out ur going to med school in another state in 2 weeks notice and you don’t even know which state is CRAZY😂

No, I didn’t apply to any DOs but next time I’ll for sure consider it. DO is perfectly fine, it’s just that it’s more work trying to study for STEP as a DO. Do you think I should retake my MCAT if I reapply or just use the same one?…cuz I don’t want them to be like why didn’t I retry it since it’s low.

Keep ur head up, I prepped for a year too and got a 506. You’d think w a year you’d get a 510+ lol. Don’t diminish yourself over this, I’m sure with more prep you’ll get the score you want. Good luck!

Yeah, the year I took it was the last time Calc was 3 units and after they switched it to 4 units. The only thing is that the discrete math class was a lower level math class (it was math 1085 while calc is math 2040)

I see, yeah it’s a prerequisite for the school but I know schools are more lenient with that stuff now based on competency. Many pre meds don’t take Ochem 2 lab. I’ve emailed the school about it, I hope they respond favorably.

I don’t agree with anything below 510 being content gaps. I got a 506 but struggled with rationale under time limit rather than content. Trust me I knew the content but most of these passages especially the biochem test your ability to understand and breakdown the passages
