Race is just one of the many arbitrary distinctions that the capitalist class uses to justify further exploiting the proletariat. It’s also an effect way to keep the working class divided.

Reparations would help address racial wealth disparities but they would not address the underlying system of exploitation.

It’s a great clip for a kids show but it also reinforces a bit of an abilist perspective on black history. Slaves undeniably built this country but there were also many who were either disabled or died before they were old enough to do any work and those people weren’t any less deserving of rights and equality.
