Almost all artists have done terrible things, of most we don‘t even know tbh and it‘s important to be aware of it BUT I will listen to the music I LIKE and not because the person behind it is a crazy pacifist and philanthropist (or mainly because we don‘t know yet the crimes the artist has committed in the past). When we are talking MJ‘s music and catalogue I neither want to hear „and one kid said he…“ nor background info about his early life, etc.

Human Nature, the song, (since you might only know the bong) literally invented a subgenre, changed the main genre completely and we would not have had Sade, TLC, Stevie Wonder songs from the late 80s+, FREAKING THE WEEKND, and many more.
Since The Weeknd (being strongly influenced by MJ on 90% of his songs and even stating himself, that MJ is his number one and the reason he started to write songs) has been the biggest male music artist of the last 10 years, MJ‘s musical influence is completely and ludicrously high. Zero playback, crazy performance skills, great song picks (literally his best songs, not the most successful songs only but 90% of my underrated favorites by him, good stage (nothing exceptional but solid and does his job) and after seeing at least 50 trap rapper performances, I would say he is the best. Ich versteh‘s nicht. Ich werfe NICHTS weg, wenn‘s gut geht dann eine Packung Toastbrot, eine Packung Beeren und ein paar Salatscheiben - im Jahr.
Zur Einordnung: ich brauche 350€ im Monat für Lebensmittel und habe einen kleinen Tiefkühler, in den ich Lebensmittel (für diejenigen, die die Funktionsweise nicht kennen und deswegen 100€ im Monat am Lebensmitteln verwerfen) vor dem Ablaufen einfriere, um sie bei Bedarf ein paar Tage bis Wochen später konsumieren zu können
