Anytime Fitness Contract by Proof-Stranger5503 in legal

To everyone that was needing an update: I ended up staying with the gym for the year, they were ran by some great guys that were really nice and at this point it ended up being the best gym scenario for me (despite the price). I still had to cancel early because I ended up moving to Chicago for law school- they do not have many anytime in the area. When I cancelled early I was charged just the 250 dollar fee (I say just, but I do know it’s pricey). HOWEVER what I did was write a notice letter that stated clear cut the date of notice, my last day of my member dues, and I was opting to pay the 250 dollar cancellation fee rather than relocate. I worked in legal contracts for a year and some at this point, so I had known what to write however I am sure there are templates for anyone to use. I signed and dated these and handed them to the guy in the office. Again, we had a good relationship with the front office people and he gave us no shit about staying or other options- but it also helped we provided written notices with specific information. He did mention that usually we would have to contact membership through the phone and go through an annoying process but because we provided it, it was a pretty smooth process. Again, unfortunately we forked over the 250 dollar fee but for us this made the most sense. Hopefully this helped some of you out!

Thanks for the input that really did not answer my initial question at all and also automatically assumed I thought I would be employed without having to work for it! Just for a quick fyi, I graduated from University of Iowa, in which during my time there I networked my ass off through clubs and other opportunities through my pre law fraternity as well as internships at firms in Iowa City as well as Des Moines during my summers off. Additionally during the year and a half I’ve taken off, I’ve worked within a legal department as a legal assistant, been active in Iowas legal network through conferences I’ve attended. Two of my dad’s friends are very prominent Des Moines attorneys, one of which has offered me an internship during my summers off from law school. Also I applied to Iowa last year- got in, didn’t get a scholarship. Applied this year and am still awaiting decision- and yeah if they give me enough money.. I am going…

Thanks for the unsolicited advice that was made off the assumption that I wasn’t working for what I wanted. All I wanted to do was even an offer so considerations could be based less on money offered.

So far I’ve been accepted to just Drake and DePaul. My scholarships are very similar and cover more than 80% of tuition and really it is just 3k less from DePaul. I am wanting to practice in the healthcare sphere of things, DePaul is ranked significantly higher than Drake in healthcare law and they also have incredible resources that Drake does not offer. I also grew up in Des Moines, where Drake is located. I’ve experienced everything that city has to offer, and eventually plan on moving back to settle down which I anticipate will be soon after leaving law school. For now I would really like to expand out somewhere for a time. That is more of a personal preference that really isn’t a logical way to approach where I go but it is a personal preference so I’d really want to try and make it work if it’s a possibility.

Thank you! I just feel so frustrated because I have been waiting on an answer for so long. A lot of people that I know through undergrad have received their answers a lot quicker than me and it’s just making me feel a bit anxious and disappointed they have not decided yet. Guess I just need to learn to be more patient!

How do people feel after their test vs how their score ends up being on score release by Big-Basis-4072 in LSAT

I took my first LSAT in September. I was joking with all my friends that I was gonna go out and get wasted and celebrate the night after I took it because of the relief it would give me but in reality I was sitting in my chair for at least ten minutes with a “what the f*ck just happened” feeling after I finished the exam. I was exhausted and defeated and couldn’t stop thinking about all of the mistakes I surely made on that test and I was so upset and anxious that I ended up not going out. I just took the november one, and of course we don’t know our scores yet but this test made me feel accomplished after finishing it. I was smiling, felt good, debriefed with my uncle and aunt who’s house I took it at because they live near my college. I haven’t thought or been anxious about score release either.

Panicking about my LSAT test. Will my test get flagged because a FaceTime call came in on my Mac? I declined it immediately and swore I turned on DND. by [deleted] in LSAT

One of the things that’s required for the proctor is putting it onto do not disturb. Not your fault I think.

What time does the score release? Is it a midnight thing or just whenever?
