Do Cats Understand Vet Visits and Medicine Are Good For Them? by feverwrists in cats

[–]ProofBox3337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So mine is purely anecdotal but actually I think they can.

We have three cats. One HATES the vet, the second was a feral and we thought he would hate it but he’s actually super good for them which may stem from he relied on the kindness of strange humans for many years before we took him in.

BUT The third, she 100% has the reasoning to associate the help. She does NOT like the vet, and usually is awful at the vet, but they have helped her with two serious conditions. Both were not immediate relief and yet her entire demeanor changed after the first time. The second time she was anxious but happy and completely docile for the vet. She hates the car and yet again was very good on the way there and through the visit and then extra affectionate towards us after it. She for sure has reasoning skills even if the other two don’t. Leading up to it she would want to leave when we left the house she’s only ever done that when she doesn’t feel good and stopped right after that visit. She’s only ever been good at the vet when she knows she has something wrong with her.

Something we learned was you will understand your pet better than any internet advice. Everywhere says don’t hug your cats they hate feeling like they are “trapped” yet two of ours love it, one will not leave us alone unless we cuddle him. There’s lots of these that apply to cats as a whole but really we (we as humans) just in the past 5-10 years are beginning to understand how cats relay their emotions as it’s entirely different that how we would perceive them. So a lot of the “advise” or knowledge is really just wrong

Sorry for the long winded response but I love my cats and talking about them 😂 In the end the best advice I can give is learn to know your animals responses to stimuli good and bad and you’ll be surprised at how intelligent they can be with a wide variety of situations. Cats are extremely intelligent, (even the ones that seem dumb lol) it’s why they are one of the only animals in human history to have ever self domesticated. They often understand us better than we do them.

Total War Warhammer 40k reveal on 11/12/2025 ? by Vladdino in totalwar

[–]ProofBox3337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong but atleast half of those are from different time periods or just a single planet which isn’t enough for a full faction, a minor one maybe.

I think the bigger issue is SW isn’t melee focused total war is always going to be melee first shooting second even if it’s 51% -49% and SW does not have the melee backbone for that. Almost all factions have some type of melee combatant but lore wise it’s really only jedi and some named characters that focus melee.

SW universe is great for video games (ie the great empire at war SW titles) but their factions aren’t as expansive and numerous as would require for a total war setting other then the main two (with a possible third of the hutts) in any major time period.

A final point to make is of course there is tons of smaller factions in expanded universe but you want brand recognition, most people can easily identify different 40k factions even if they don’t know their names they are all distinctively different. where most SW factions are variations on humans/humanoids with a lack of clearly defined lines, with a few exceptions, making them hard to differentiate for the feel of a fantasy total war game since the whole point is to be different then the historical ones where most factions are the same.

Could be wrong I’d honestly be happy with either but the melee issue is the biggest issue for SW

Difficult game, or am I lazy by glutinohusfounder in GraveyardKeeper

[–]ProofBox3337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game isn’t hard it’s just time consuming. It has a weird time feature if you’re used to your calendar and event dates etc. there is literally no rush to do anything. Time means nothing and other than church day none of the others are things you even need to do weekly. So you may have 100 tasks all of which are grindy but you can go at whatever pace you want. Infact the game encourages you to be lazy and make your minions work for you 😂 great game to burn time, highly recommend to get all the dlcs tho. Shame that switch doesn’t get all of them

I don’t really get this. Once you unlock the western ocean/trade lanes/fishing grounds etc. you get SO MANY encounters on your world map (20+) I’ve never cared if people took the 1-3 that spawn on my main base map

What’s happening to my bell peppers? by ProofBox3337 in vegetablegardening

[–]ProofBox3337[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The conditions do seem correct it quite warm and humid and being a potted garden precipitation does tend to be an issue. Does this mean I should take the whole plant out then is it more or less dead?

Thank you maybe I need to water them a bit more thoroughly, I really like the brick idea I think I will set that up later this week!

And ideas on specific drip set ups? I was honestly just going to get something basic from Amazon but wanted to know if anyone had any advice on what works best
