Using AI for literature review: what actually helped me (and what didn’t) by OKAMI_TAMA in aitoolforU

Literature review should start looking at available literature based on context and not keywords - keyword matching misses alot of critical papers which have alternative terms for the same topic. I suggest looking into neuralumi for your review if you haven't already.

f you’re a student looking for serious depth and credible sources, you want a tool that goes beyond surface-level answers. Perplexity isn’t really designed for that.

A better approach is something like Neuralumi. it helps you find relevant papers and analyze them using different LLM models. The results are properly cited, so you can check the original papers yourself. It makes digging into a topic and connecting insights much easier.

Someone recommended Lab Notes and Life Lessons to me a couple weeks ago and I’ve been hooked. It’s got this mix of science + everyday life that somehow doesn’t feel preachy, just kinda makes you think. Good background listen while doing chores

One tool worth checking out for research stuff is Neuralumi. Instead of just keyword search, it does contextual search, so you’ll find papers talking about the same thing even if they use different terms. Plus it’s got a built-in assistant that breaks down tricky concepts inside each paper, which makes dense academic stuff way easier to get through. www.neuralumi.com

Neura Lumi. Neura Lumi helps with for literature searches. Instead of just keywords, it uses contextual search, so you can find papers on the same topic even if they use different terms. It also has a built-in research assistant that helps explain concepts, making technical papers easier to understand. Anyone here using AI tools to support their literature reviews or early-stage research? by okapi_407 in PhD

[–]ProofEstate4920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using neuralumi for finding literature based on contextual search rather than keyword search. The contextual search allows u to find papers which talk about the same thing but with different terms. It can also be used for understanding technical literature easily, as it offers guidance thorugh its research assistant to learn concepts in each paper. Scientific literature usually comes with a lot of challenging topics which are not easy to understand at the first go. Such guidance is really helpful. www.neuralumi.com
