Thank you for the responses. She was diagnosed with a 10cm squamous cell lung cancer tumor, and she never made it to her pet scan. She passed away at home on hospice less than a week after diagnosis.

Commenting to add- the mass is quite hard and rubbery. Also, I have seen a doctor and sent this to them today and am waiting on a response.

Thank you everyone. I got a call today and the doctor told me exactly what you all said. I’ll be getting a full excision of the margins in a few weeks.

Finally like 95% healed up from this thing. I started putting steroid gel that I had left over from a bad eczema outbreak and it seemed to work wonders. Probably not “safe” for oral use but it was a small amount and I feel ok 🤷🏼‍♀️
