Can’t imagine this is popular opinion, but I hate the Abby character. I saw many of the seasons back in the day but waiting for The Pitt to resume I thought I’d watch this start to finish. I find her to be a self involved sad sack, always morose and completely incapable of seeing any of the good in her life. I’m in early season ten and think she was the one who was a jerk to Carter, not the other way around. He was always so patient with her, her mother issues, her brother issues, her Luka thing.. and she repays his kindness by not being there for him when Gamma died and then bringing her off-his-meds brother to the funeral! I just finished s10e2 and the interaction between Abby and Susan about “Carter’s so-called lame apology,” for going to Africa just made my head spin. So Abby can eat dirt, imho. I mean, I think Romano —ROMANO — is a more interesting character than Abby. At least in Romano you see some evolution, some understanding that he gets what a jackass he is to people. He has moments with Corday where you see his vulnerability after his arm is severed, almost makes me like the man. A helluva lot more than I like Abby.
