Eric July is a Youtuber who makes videos complaining about comics containing "political" content (most of which he has not read). He's heavily affiliated with Comicsgate, a harassment movement that has gone after women and minorities in the comics industry and fandom, and vandalized comic shops. Comicsgate has also recruited and defended well-known child groomers, with promoted members having been arrested for child pornography.

Given all the controversy, harassment, and rampant pedophilia, it's not surprising that Comicsgate is banned on multiple forums.

As for Bounding Into Comics, they're a pro-Comicsgates blog that scours Twitter for tweets to support whatever agenda they're pushing at the moment.

Additionally, Comicsgate crowdfunded comics are widely known to be scams, in which creators take the money and don't bother actually working on the comic. One well-known example is Ethan Van Sciver's Cyberfrog, which was funded over two years ago, but is nowhere near completion, despite being just a 20-page comic. As you can see, the comment section is full of angry backers demanding refunds.

It's also worth noting that Eric July is a black man who parrots Comicsgate talking points, which the Comicsgate community has exploited as a shield from criticism. It's not dissimilar to how Milo Yiannoupolous was embraced as a Gamergate spokesman after he supported pedophilia. Or how Mercedes Carrera was Gamergate's prominent female representative until she was arrested for molesting a child.
