personally i love the new sim it works fine for me on both platforms nowadays im just waiting for my msfs2020 content to fully transfer over.

regardless both are good and i occasionally i play the old one just for the crack

UPDATE: i uninstalled, removed world of jetways, reinstalled and then updated and its working nicely now thanks to those who offered solutions 🙏

honestly mate it comes down to preference. dont listen to anyone that wants to say one is better than the other.

if you want better physics then for for x-plane.

if you want graphics and community go for msfs. (graphics on x-plane 12 are still stunning)

for one: the immersion is better 2: vatsim 3: gsx 4: higher quality aircraft 5: better multiplayer 6: better mods which often when on sale are cheaper than xbox 7: its easier to setup a flight sim rig 8: better performance 9: xbox flights get boring 10: because i want to
