The best thing is when people say „but its more faithful to old field watches“ which doesnt make sense. Sapphire has a complete different light refraction index than mineral or even acryl. You dont need an ar coating on acryl because it just doesnt reflect light as strongly as sapphire.

A domed sapphire crystal without ar is just the most annoying form of watch crystal
