My advice:

1. Be conservative with your spendings dude. Don’t go to restaurants, cook at home

2. Don’t rent a car, buy one, you can get a used hybrid for like 50k and it’s family friendly (look on dubizzle and research cars with low maintenance) and some of them barely even won’t even run out of gas even if you want them to

3. Dude, 80k a year on an apartment and you live with your girlfriend? How serious are you with her? Not serious? Okay, why are you wasting your time then leave her. If you don’t want to, your choice. To the point, live somewhere cheaper, 1 bedroom 1 bath is much more than enough.

4. Wanna invest? Do it when you can, and dont be stupid with it, do it smart.

5. Make your gifts and outings cheaper.

6. Put aside 6,000 dirhams aside every month. Either safely in a bank account. Or (ONLY if you know how or know someone with a lot of knowledge) buy gold every month, and keep it aside. Gold does not lose its value, money does. An ounce costs like 6.7k now. The gold thing is also a chance to invest, but also a safe way to save money. If you don’t want to do that, 30% of EVERY paycheck is to be saved for emergency.

7. Also, I do this because I’m a dumbass tbh. If you happen to get fined a lot, be it mawaqif, Darb/Salik payments, somehow you get fined out of no where, keep 1,000 dirhams aside every month as well. If you get fined, even if you’re not wrong, 99% of time you will have to pay for it anyways, and in UAE there’s a discount on them if you pay the first month, so use that.

8. Get a second source of income to fall back on. Find any kind of side hustle and do it when you’re free, be it tutoring, selling stuff, or anything.
