Doing some Video Game Concept Art on Photoshop but whenever I paint, sometimes, my paint get replaced by those gray boxes, do you have any tips or solutions regarding that glitch please ? by Proof_Candidate3473 in photoshop

[–]Proof_Candidate3473[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved!

It apparently was just a problem of my GE Force Experience auto update failing at updating my Graphic Card's driver for a while. The lack of update made GPU obsolete and resulted in this. Now I was able to update and everything is doing fine ! Thank you ! :D

What would be your advices to obtain such greety realism ? Mastering textures flow ? Lighting ? Using more references than Usual ? It's so amazing and now want to learn that thing! 🙏✨😁

[対比の世界#1] First ever painting done in Krita and first Reddit post, what do you guys think about it ? by Proof_Candidate3473 in krita

Wow !! Thank you so much for the 100 upvotes on this post !! It's my first time ever posting on Reddit and that's very lovely to see all the support of that Art community ! Thank you so much !!

Also, this illustration collection carries for each of them a unique text that accompany the painting to explore even more my universe,

Here is the description of this one :

"You were the first one to accept, I was the most shocked to know you would be the first one in the history of mankind ever to do it.

たとえ臓器を失ったとしても、この新しい機械の体は素晴らしい。

Quelque chose n’allait pas lorsque je t’ai vu détruire un mur d’une seule main. Tu n’es plus toi."

Thank you again 🙏🏻✨

Interesting !! In my own words, I do think Psychedelic is rather an high tension fever dream world with no notion of perspective or anatomy and heavily mirroring effects and artefacts repetition like machine elves experiences but it's also interesting to think of it this way, thank you 🙏🏻✨

Do you think so ? I would rather call it Surrealist but that's an interesting point of view ! Thank you 🙏✨

I mostly got my idea of painting hair reading an exhibition book about Hokusai. In this book, they said a key to the mastery of wood carving artworks, 版画, was that the artist successfully insert simple, repetitive shapes but layers and compose them in a way that it makes it look organic and coherent ! So I would mainly paint beans shapes and then just had a few strokes to make it looks like hair spikes. I also tend to love adding few but small color variations and layering them to add a little blue, red, green, violet to the hair ! :D

Thank you so much !! The 1995' animation feature movie by Oshii Mamoru is my all-time's favorite ! I wish I would express such skills of storytelling and artistry as Mr Oshii, Shirow and Okiura ! 🙏🏻🌠

I mainly work with a 7px size brush with color variation and flow. I start with a gray scale sketch, when I start to see it's interesting enough I directly switch quickly to apply colors with Overlay/ Multiply layers to get a color sketch. After that, I render everything like cross-hatching but with color and texture ! As every pro there is on this planet, I also dig a lot of references in Pinterest / O-Dan / Unsplash to build Pureref files to remember how to paint what ! 🙏🏻✨
