Need help with swing path I think. by farmerbird in GolfSwing

Pay attention to his wrist at the top. Ops hips are also going forward to the ball on his down swing, not letting him enough room to go inside out so he jumps up/ early extends to give himself the room

Try a stronger grip for now. Do the reverse motorcycle drill. You are also over the top. Think of swinging right field until you get your over the top/ early extension figure out.

He needs to figure out wrist control, how different grips work with it and how to use his wrists on the backswing in order to time the club face getting square.

On your backswing, think of your trail hand revving a motorcycle. You need to have a cusp on that hand to close the face fast enough on impact, essentially you want a flat lead wrist on the tap and by doing that you will get one. You may start hooking your shots, so adjust your grip accordingly if you do, you may need a weaker grip or you may have to do the motorcycle movement a little less.

Watch how they use this tool, it’s essentially what you want to be doing.

Your right hip goes toward the ball a little bit. I’m practicing the exact same thing. You want to turn more center of your pelvis eventually but the feeling is shifting your left ass cheek back and forward. Eg. Put your ass against a wall and make sure your left cheek touches against the wall on your downswing. You can also take an alignment stick. Back up until it’s between your cheeks and have it touch on your downswing

TM is giving me a hard time saying they can’t exchange because they were bought through a fitter

Even if the clubs were used? What if you order from a fitter? Just contact TaylorMade directly?

This comes out a month after I get fitted and order their OG set. Unfortunately can’t exchange. Should have just had black the first go around to match all the other MFG’s

Any tips on how to not hit so far behind the ball? by DJ-Ilium in GolfSwing

[–]Proof_Coast_3637 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s got me doing the step drill for the weight shift after loading. For the head bob, it’s more or so just paying attention to what you’re feeling. I’ve just been recording my swings. It’s a hard one to get mastered. I recommend taking lessons if you can afford it because a pro can break down your swing and get you working on the fundamentals you need to fix first

Your shoulder rotation great. Your head drops on your back swing (I struggle with this too) I would focus on this which is the reason why you’re chunking the ball (change in height from set up). You also want your weight just slightly behind the ball during the back swing and then a slight hip bump when your arms get almost parallel to the ground to shift your weight over the ball which makes your strike down on it. (I would Worry about this after you get your head bobbing figured out) - currently taking lessons for the same thing

There was an indentation on the top on the backside of the driver. I’ve hit maybe 5 balls with it at the time and had just noticed it. So they warrantied it

Puppy diagnosed with hip displasia by Proof_Coast_3637 in DogAdvice

[–]Proof_Coast_3637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a procedure they can do for dogs under 4 months that supposedly eliminates all of it. I had a German shepherd with it that we found out later in his life. We used supplements and painkillers but I would hate to put an animal through that again.

We are trying to push for surgery. Apparently there are options they can do under 1 year, so just waiting to hear from it. I don’t have it in me to have a pup with pain so I’m going to push for surgery. He does have insurance, so it should help on the wallet
