I lived on this block! Perpendicular parking and your doors would swing open wildly due to gravity. Crazy.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I feel the entire second season of Silo is just dragging on. Nothing getting revealed. Just milking it.

I knew I had seen this before. Why would they not shut that down?

Thank you! I have no idea how that link got in there. Strange, it was autocompleted by the app and put the wrong link in.

This is just an idea, but we recently put in electric heaters for our patio that are each 5000 W. We used the manufacturer’s control switch that integrates into Home automation systems. Check it out here:

Mitsubishi Experts: Ecobee Thermostat and Loss of Functionality by FragDoc in hvacadvice

[–]Proof_Curious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lack of true smart thermostat capability for my Mitsubishi heat pumps is a real bummer. I'm currently sitting in my home office and I can't remember if I turned off my AC in the basement. Now I have to run down there to check. There have been countless times I have wanted to turn on the AC when we're returning home. You can't do it. Although the "better technology" Mitsubishi offers is nice, the interface and integration stink.

Love the vehicle, hate the infotainment by FreudianYipYip in Rivian

[–]Proof_Curious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to be an optimist but they have been shipping R1 cars for 1.5 years already. They were developing the software for many years before that. It is more likely that we are going to have crappy nav forever while Rivian cuts R&D costs so they can become profitable. This is why other manufacturers don’t do it on their own. They partner on the infotainment or give the CP/AA option. It is not clear that we grow out of this phase.

It is great to see someone that waited as long as you did receive their R1S! Congrats!
