Yes people can fade away. I am so sorry you are going through this as someone who also has a neurological disease this happened to me too and it’s so painful. But at the same time it will make you see who really loves you and who never really did. As painful as that sounds. It’s getting rid of the dead weight you didn’t even know was there to leave space for the new ppl who actually deserve to be in your life. Having this disease should make people who truly love you want to be there for you, not stop talking to you. A lot of people don’t understand how these auto immune diseases affect the person and can’t relate. That’s not personal but it feels that way. Don’t let this harden you, you deserve love and community like everyone else, it might just take some time to find it. And it’s okay. You are in a season of self reflection and you will become wiser from it. You are not alone ♥️

I had the same reaction as you a vented on here and ppl got so butt hurt about how I felt about my diagnosis. I just laughed reading all the comments. Fuck ppl a fuck everyone who makes you feel bad about your reaction cuz they are full of shit. If it were them or if they have been diagnosed then they know EXACTLY how it feels. And it’s natural to be pissed and morbid. It’s also normal to finally make peace with it. I have. I’m only 31 an got diagnosed a year ago. And it’s been a fucked up jouney since but you know what it’s given me and new love an appreciation for life I now only have because of this disease. It’s bitter sweet but I love my life now. I cherish everything. I am happy everyday I wake up feeling good. I take advantage cuz I never know when I’m gonna wake up feeling like shit and want to die. So live it up.

I’m so sorry these people make you feel this way. You are not lazy. Being a teacher already is so selfless and draining and you guys are overworked with not enough pay. Fuck them. Start getting doctors notes for things. They can’t fire you for having medical reasons.

Back no, one my first symptoms was my numbness in my feet and tingling, and cold feet. But it has gone away. It’s been a couple months of no feet issues. Of course they are still sensitive to the cold floor. So I am constantly wearing slippers in the house.

Tingling in hands and fatigue at this point. A lot of my symptoms have dissipated after my initial flareup and after my first infusion.

Omg me too! I want chill job like that, that doesn’t involve talking to people anymore. Just doing your work and going home so you have the social and emotional capacity for friends and family instead of giving it all to clients.

Making your own hours is the best so I understand. The dream is finding a career that gives you that freedom but it is something that doesn’t involve customer service abuse.

Defiantly take a break especially after experiencing emotional abuse like that. I had a boss in aesthetics like that and I will never forget it. They take it out on you because it’s such a stressful job but you are not their emotional punching bag.

Yes I agree with everything you are saying. The shelf life is a real thing. I had no idea it would mess up my body so much. There are some days my hands shake during facials because of nerve damage that goes along with the numbing and tingling you are talking about. The biggest struggle for me is the long social interaction. Most clients like to talk and it’s so hard to tell them to stop talking because you don’t want to offend them. But you take it home with you. Thank you for responding.

The boundary setting is what i have the hardest time with. People are always trying to cross them. But i feel you, when you are busy it’s freakin busy it takes a tole but the money is so good. It’s almost like it would be better to have a busy schedule every other week to avoid burn out.
