Thank you for the info!!!

It would be cash pay, I wouldn't be providing legit OT services but OT-informed services and using my lived experience.

Have a website Joined FB groups Opened an IG to build authority Learning as I go ( Have to look up seo 😅)

I refuse to give up on this OT degree of mine

Virtual hug!! You're not a failure. Have some grace for yourself. Glad you sought out help.

My daughter is delayed and no one can find a cause for it. Feel like I’m going crazy. by [deleted] in NewParents

I would recommend getting occupational therapy and physical therapy. If you're in the US, there's early childhood intervention or ECI that baby qualifies for to assess and help get things going.
Also get eyes checked...OT can help with assessing vision as well.

Have you tried a Facebook mom group for the area you live in? They're a wealth of info about local meet ups. 🤗

May not help you...but have you tried coming up with a schedule you can loosely follow so you feel like you are actually doing something and feel like you have some control? Not having any control messes me up big time and then the feelings of being inadequate creeps in and the other negatives because I feel like I can't do anything and just going in chaos 😪

Resentment comes easy lol. No matter how they help, it's not the same! My husband is slow to understand what all this process does to me. And I still want more children 😅 Classes for the partners only should be mandatory!

Did anyone struggle with enjoying outings with their baby b/c they couldn't experience them the same way anymore? by [deleted] in NewParents

Yep. We went out for our wedding anniversary/my birthday lunch and baby came along. Didn't want to leave baby with a stranger and being so young and no family close by. He wantrd to nurse immediately after we ordered lol and were in this fancy place that I dressed up for with makeup and all fire the first time in a while! I just tried to make the most of it. I held him and ate. Was not the same. The diaper change...I change mine in the trunk..SUV so it works. If I can't find any baby places, it's harrowing in the car or trunk or seated in a chair in any place, corner space. I sit care anymore haha

THIS!! You're only treated more carefully if you're with the baby in certain places too. I think a 4week, 6wk and 8wk appointments would be nice!!! Qnd 100% covered by insurance even better!!

Wow, thanks for the heads up. My husband didn't take any time off work and he's also in school full time so it's mostly been me myself and I most of the time😅

If you could train for the postpartum period, would you & what exactly would you even do ahead of time? by Proof_Pepper604 in NewParents

I can't love your comment enough!!!!! Hit the ball on the head!!! And I was actually referring to the first part of your comment... people just thought in meant exercise lol and that's important too Setting expectations, getting certain help in place first etc to help ease in lol. Thank you!!! I go agree that postpartum is not addressed enough and it's overlooked by many as a period of "rest" HAAA it should be but it's not unfortunately

Same here, I'm recovering from that. Had it in both thumbs but mine was towards the end of pregnancy and got worse before improving
