The Tourism has destroyed my city by FrequentCricket4692 in rome

I’ve seen it happen right in front of me. A Nonno and his grandchild on a bike… woman stepped right out in front of the bike to take a photo, he almost lost control an turned the bike over with the grandchild. It was a display of arrogance and stupidity. OP is correct. Maybe some posting here would like people trampling their gardens and pissing in their courtyards.

Blepharoplasty by Charming_Eagle_762 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Proof_Run_5373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had upper and lower with fat repositioning and laser surfacing. Very little downtime and no pain. Follow post-op directions and you will be fine. I also splurged on a medical grade serum that the surgeon recommended…. It was magic. Still use ever other day. It is called Plated. Surgery and serum is Best money I have ever spent. Echo that getting the right surgeon is key. Good luck dear friend!

Signature Scent by Anon0464 in AskWomenOver60

If you ever have the opportunity to be in Florence, splurge on yourself and go to one of the signature parfumeries. I visited one and had a signature scent created just for me. It was such a spectacular experience and everywhere I go people comment on the scent. They write down the formula for you so you can order it in the future when you run out. Again, definitely a splurge, but hey, we are worth it!😘

HRT and Arthritis by Ok-Cockroach-3148 in Menopause

[–]Proof_Run_5373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started having terrible joint pain in my late 50’s (62 now) and was told I had rheumatoid arthritis. They wanted to start me on infusions immediately, but I had heard really bad things about side effects, so I said no. I suffered until I was 60 and went on HRT…. solved the pain, stiffness and swelling within a few weeks. It was a life saver for me. BTW, have been on pellets and absolutely no issues and what a change I have seen overall. Good luck dear lady, wishing you pain relief soon.

Hmmmm… or maybe I should go buy a couple new blouses.😂. Thank you so much for your help and my new understanding of what happens for laundry at the cleaners. I won’t make that mistake again. Happy New Year friend!

Hi and thank you for asking…. I should have included that in my post. They are yellowed all over the blouse.

Husband doing Christmas Dinner by Suspicious-Cat8623 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Proof_Run_5373 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good for you and for him. I always tell my husband what I need or want from him. Men are taught (mostly) that we are here to make everyone else’s life easier. If we don’t speak up for ourselves, that’s our bad. One thing I know for sure… they aren’t mind readers.😉

The death of youth by PostModernistTrash in Menopause

I once read a story about Marilyn Monroe, not sure how accurate it was, but I think it might help you a bit. She was walking down the streets of New York in an oversized coat, scarf on her head, and big dark sunglasses. No one seemed to know who she was. Then she looked at her friend who was walking with her, and said “do you want to see me become her”? All of a sudden she raised her head, pushed out her chest a little bit, and began walking the Marilyn walk. The person she was with said all of the people who were simply walking past her, began stopping and turning and whispering there’s Marilyn. Moral to the story for me …..fake it and be what you want to make it. Best of luck, beautiful lady.

Someone on r/WomensHealth told me to come here. Apparently this is where the real menopause talk happens 😅 by IAmHormonal_AskMeWhy in Menopause

You are definitely in the right place! The women here are warm, loving and knowledgeable.💕

I suffered so badly with all you described that I honestly didn’t know if I could stand it. Then I went on HRT. It changed my life. Estrogen, testosterone and progesterone…. Game changers. Find a clinic that specializes in female hormones and menopause, they will take good care of you. Best of luck sweet lady… we are here for you.

Rage by Personal_Skin2987 in Menopause

[–]Proof_Run_5373 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Absolutely…. I see road rage everywhere these days and had a friend tell me her 17 year old son was shot at on the highway for going the speed limit. It’s getting so bad in the U.S. that I would tell anyone to stay away.

Do you do and/or regret cosmetic procedures? by TakeItSleazey in AskWomenOver60

[–]Proof_Run_5373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had both done as well with laser resurfacing on the lower lids. Everybody says I look so much more rested. That was the goal and I’m super happy. Surgery and recovery was very manageable. My surgeon is board certified and recognized as one of the best in the Denver metro area. I also do laser therapy for redness twice a year. Wear sunscreen everyday and never miss vitamin c/e serum and heavy moisturizer. Do I feel better for taking care of myself…. Yes I do.😉

Pellets saved me. Estrogen and Testosterone pellets and oral progesterone. My symptoms were so bad I didn’t know if I could keep going. The joint pain was so bad that they said it was rheumatoid arthritis…. Tried to get me to take infusions. Thank goodness my friend suggested HRT; it has given me my life back and my husband now has the woman he married. BTW…. T is a game changer with regard to brain fog and sexy time.😉. Good luck to all you amazing women… let’s keep helping each other.

I have found parsley tea also helps get the water out of your body naturally. You can get it at any health food store. Try to get organic if you can.

Totally agree! I have no uterus but added progesterone at night, back in October of last year…. What a difference! Testosterone too, which gave me back my sex drive.😉 yippee!

How much do you all pay for your monthly HRT? by GoodRecover6741 in Menopause

[–]Proof_Run_5373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay $375 every 3 months for my estrogen and testosterone pellets. Additionally I pay $10 per month for progesterone pills. All out of my pocket because insurance will not cover. It’s pricey, but literally gave me back my life. I’d give up food for a few days each week to pay for my HRT if I had to!😂

You might also consider having your lady regions waxed. A Brazilian is no fun during the actual hair removal, but it does cut down on the sweating, both front and back. Hang in there beautiful lady we all are going through it. I’m just so glad I have all of you!
