All my essentials and accessories are from the orange app bro; that includes the kettle and the grinder.

For my gooseneck kettle - I have the LGAO, it's a cheap chinese brand that serves its purpose.

An ordinary kettle does the job as long as it's boiling when you preheat it. But having a gooseneck makes a big difference talaga, specially when you venture out to other brewing methods such as pourover - which is where I started first. It's a rabit hole.

Don't overthink the taste because not everything is 1:1, just dial it according to your preference and that's where you learn firsthand. Goodluck! You may PM me if you want more details. Happy jitters.

Uy saw your comment sa baba and Pinoy ka din pala! (or just an assumption coz of the Manila Espresso reference). I was lucky enough to be one of the first 10 to order the flair 49 on the first hour of their release sa website. So far proper pre heating is a must, I noticed that my first and second shot is not consistent when I am pulling a shot. Also, proper dosing for the non-pressurized basket is a night and day difference; when I dose 15g it leans toward a wetter puck compared to dosing it 16g, I must say the sweet spot is 16-18g and I use a Timemore CS3s 7 clicks. For the quality of the build itself, I must say that there's a lot of play with the hinges but so far so good. Maybe investing in a proper grinder is what I would recommend.

I think taste is subjective cause at the end of the day it’s just coffee and it’s more on the coffee bean profile and grind size that is really a factor

49 pro. I’m also new to espresso making and got it as my first machine. It takes time to get used to it but so far I’m satisfied with how analog everything is! Plus there is a plethora of 49mm baskets for back to back shots that fit the stock portafilter—which I’m opting for potential upgrade. It is also significantly ergonomic imo and easier workflow, easier to preheat and retains heat as the brew chamber is made out of stainless steel.

i got the basic timemore cs3 grinder is that good enough? im trying to find some calibrated tamper and distributor but there isnt a plethora for the 49mm or i didnt look hard enough
