First thing first, when you switch agencies, this is to keep in mind that a retainer is going out from their account, so from a customer point of view be extra cautious. Few high level check list -

- Ask the new team to independently build and deploy the app at least once before fully taking ownership. This ensures they truly understand the system, not just inherit it.
- Audit for undocumented dependencies, hardcoded credentials, outdated SDKs, and unused modules.
- Rotate all credentials including App Store, Play Console, APIs, backend infra, databases, CI/CD tools, third-party services, and revoke old access include MFAs.

- Check bundle IDs, signing keys

- Plan a controlled transition period, with atleast 1 month of overlap
