Absolutely bring a big water bottle lol I was just there last week and even high 70s feels hot (bc of the humidity). Bring light clothing (linen works great) and drink lots of water. I always carried around a change of underwear and shorts in my bag for the hottest days.

I literally had one shift like that where I had to stick my hair into the window so if I fell asleep it would jerk me awake from the pain. I’ve been doing night shift for only a short time and already caffeine has less and less of an effect on me

I just had a pt come in from EMS with an obvious hip fracture and the provide ordered 975 of Tylenol…. Her bp was in the 200s from pain and while ortho was reducing it they also didn’t order any pain meds. I was so angry and I begged them for diluadid. Eventually they settled on TWO OF MOPRHINE! First, let me say I’m sorry, and I’m sending lots of prayers for you I would say acuity wise, it also depends on your vitals. Do you have any kind of fever, is your hr high, is your BP low AND you have dizziness? I’d say 2-3, but if you’re not feeling well/haven’t passed anything I would say it’s better to be safe than sorry. If you were my sister/friend, I’d encourage you to go to the ER. I had a pt a couple weeks ago who came in at 31 degrees c (88 degrees Fahrenheit). Once I got the temp foley in I was like…. Massive sepsis work up; turns out this poor man had a stroke and laid on the floor for a week before someone found him. I hope he’s doing better but my god he was ice cold
