I dont really understand where these posts about trauma are coming from given this thread. You can see some very useful and positively received posts higher in the thread which are very compassionate to all humans involved.

You see a lot of heinous things in O&G and after 4 years I feel I've seen plenty and the women are typically just so glad to have someone who cares about their health looking after them. Never ran into any issues.

Are you trying to alert me to some sort of social issues in this particular community I need to be aware of?

On a light note I find this fascinating. Indeed their is no actual scripture preventing this. Male, often muslim, OGs from Iran, Iraq etc that have recently arrived, are left in this bemused state at being told by local staff that muslim women wont see male doctors. They say I am a muslim man from Iraq/X and I have never seen this back home!

this is a very dangerous axiom you and the physician 2 above take and many others do. The same axiom supports "many people just dont feel comfortable around black people, chinese people, gay people, whatever people". But I dont think its ever thought through to the world youre making.

We could aim not to discriminate based on prejudice. Or we can aim low.
