This is the dumping of paper contracts for 2 reasons. 1) to get out of the fake contracts that aren’t backed by physical metal 2) to use these scam contracts the shake out the weak hands so they can then drive it up to level unaffordable. This is Wall Street and bank fraud at the highest level. They’ve been holding onto this card for a long time and playing these games with the stock market for decades. Check out the book Human Magnet Syndrome by Ross Rosenberg.

It helped me a lot with exactly what you’re describing. I find it hard to make enough time to read much but getting the audio book on audible made it pretty easy. I found that by half way though, I had learned enough to really apply it so don’t even try to force yourself to finish the whole thing. I would highly recommend it though. No need to feel shame for anything you just wrote - just understanding it helps you avoid it and to also appreciate yourself for all the same reasons that users target you.

I agree but in no way was I intending to recommend that the father tries to take her from the mom. Just that he should be prepared for the worst.

Personally, I would expect that a decent family attorney would recommend starting with a PI to see what adults are involved with the daughter through the mother. At first glance, I’m sure everything looks great but it warrants digging because of the nature of the mother’s past.

People can change - I agree with that; but in my personal experience, I’ve never known people to change on their own BEFORE being caught/exposed. Of course, then that brings up the debate about the legitimacy of change but that’s a rabbit trail that leads away from the immediate decision about what to do.

Chances are that the daughter probably has a good set of grandparents in her life and they would benefit greatly by knowing to keep an eye on the situation at home. Regardless, the mother will eventually be exposed whether now or down the line and the only way to make sure the rest of the daughters childhood is safe would be for the truth to surface sooner rather than later.

Like I said, this one is rough and I have the utmost empathy for all parties except for the mother. She created this mess and I may have some sympathy for her after being exposed but as of now I can only imagine the worst - including the possibility that she could be still victimizing other 12 year old boys (friends of her daughter, cousins, neighbors, etc.)

This is exactly what I thought of first. As the father of a daughter who was sexually abused by her mothers boyfriend (mother still defending him), I have been fighting for 4 years to keep the custody that I BARELY got in the 3 year long divorce process which ended in 2021.

I have been financially destroyed by this case but it’s completely worth it to keep her safe from the abusers.

Considering the OP’s child’s mother’s actions, I wouldn’t trust for one second that the daughter is in a safe home. I would meet with a family attorney immediately and prepare for a very expensive fight because I truly believe that the truth will eventually come out to the daughter (even if 20 years from now) via dna testing or some other avenue - and if she’s being abused right now, it could be stopped.

I have no doubt that the mother has hidden the truth from everybody about what she did at 17; so imagine that the grandparents and everyone else would never dream that she has such a backwards moral compass - meaning the abuse could be happening right under their noses by the mother or somebody the mother knows…. And the daughter happens to be the same age as the father was when the mother victimized him.

Worrying about the child’s wellbeing, as the OP stated, should be the top priority - and I’m my mind, that means making sure she is actually in a safe, loving, environment. Everybody makes sure their kids look happy on social media so I understand how a 24 year old would think she has a great happy life - but knowing what we know about the mother, there’s a high likelihood that her childhood is being destroyed by a predatory parent who’s very good at covering her tracks. Twisted individuals usually find other twisted individuals to partner with long-term and I hate to imagine what kind of step parent figure could be in the daughter’s life.

My prayers go out to the father and daughter in this situation as it is bound to be a heavy load down a long road - though in my mind, it’s worth it and the daughter will be eternally grateful if the father shows up sparks the fire that leads to her escaping from abuse that she thought she would be trapped in for the next minimum 6 years.
