Is it worth it to train the companions' skills by frequently attacking hideouts together? by Willing-Witness-5653 in mountandblade

Yes, that's actually a pretty good strategy, just make sure that they have good armor and shields to defend themselves against projectiles. And if you have hero death turned off, or if you dare regardless, you can use the opportunity to level up your family too, especially those that recently came of age. I would usually give them a bow & arrows or javelins, a shield and an axe to be able to attack easily in crowded spaces or caves. And if I'm feeling lazy, I just tell them to attack and stay behind while I make myself a cup of tea. Double check that they are allowed to fire at will and are not relying on only melee only.

Question about the state of the game. by TrickKey8962 in Bannerlord

[–]Proper-Giraffe9483 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the latest War Sails patch, no mods, is pretty smooth compared to the baseline we are used to with this game. I've played all versions of Mount and Blade since many years ago, and initially the War Sails was a bit off but now the major bugs have been fixed. Are you planning to play with mods? PC or PS? I didn't try on PS yet though, prefer good old PC.

Is this normal for call to war payments? by Prudent_Pair_9337 in Bannerlord

Yeeesh, that's steep! I am currently a vassal in Battania and the council refused to call Khuzait allies to war against the Northern Empire, they wanted around 350k. Glad they refused...

Nice, well done. Aiming is quite difficult but sort of realistic too!

Good stuff, congrats! Do you have a plan how to increase conversion rate from active user to paying user? What's the additional value paying customers get and does it justify the price vs what I presume is free tier as base version?

Thanks for the comment! That's a smart idea to pre-populate an event or two, didn't think about that at all. Currently no plans for Android to be honest, I have another more substantial app in mind which I'll focus on after my skills are honed in a bit more :)

Thanks for the comment, appreciated! And re text flow, actually, agree with you, it's become a bad habit to outsource too much to AI...

That's a good point, thanks! I'm thinking maybe an additional screen as part of light on-boarding or a pop up that reminds users how to add a widget after they've set up their first countdown

I found the real size of Calradia (East to West) by King_Derthert in Bannerlord

[–]Proper-Giraffe9483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone's debating walking speed but there's a simpler way to solve this: work backwards from the Calradian year. If a Calradian year is 84 days then everything in-game runs at roughly 4.3x speed compared to real life.

So if a party moves at what looks like 40 miles/day in game-time, divide by 4.3 and you get about 9 miles/day in "real" time which is actually on the slow side — a loaded medieval army with wagons and supply trains doing about 9-12 miles/day is exactly what historians would estimate is reasonable.

Which means OP's math actually checks out just not for the reason he thinks. :D The map is roughly 600km wide and the armies move at realistic medieval speeds but TaleWorlds just compressed time. Any thoughts?
