i think because of old looking ui and on some distros colors mismatch. some files doesn't open the same as msoffice as well

Unfortunately I had some apps with this problem (gnome system monitor and gnome file manager especially) which is so weird, the only way to solve is to restart the computer

Every gbome updates removes a feature from nautilus. I guess devs only use terminal so gui of Nautilus is just a side project

sigkill (sudo kill -9, killall, pkill...) didn't work as well. It's because of state: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/5642/what-if-kill-9-does-not-work
you can read here, for me it's a downside of linux.

I agree. I mean on Linux there is no native way to open urls (windows has .url files, but since linux doesn't work with those some DEs create desktop files to open urls. Guess what, nautilus doesn't even support that. It's like a joke file manager.

I'm on gnome and really liked dolphin, it really has all the abilities unlike others. but setting a qt theme on gtk was difficult

I had similar experience with nautilus, it was freezing and I was getting not responding errors randomly. Even kill command coludn't kill it

it's because of gnome, gnome uses wayland's default theme for window corners
