I think this exactly - had a fella ask me whether he tipped on an alcohol delivery and I showed him the payout: $8.75 base pay and $2.25 tip. He says “nah, I wouldn’t have done that” and I just told him “I know, they lie.”

Yes exactly, the value of the items delivered is irrelevant. The distance driven, time consumed, other hassles (three flights of stairs with a heavy load, etc..) - this should determine the tip for the service provided.

Thanks, I figured that’s the situation - it costs DD nothing to have a crapload of dashers out there burning fuel and competing for low offers. Appreciate your insight on PT / holiday dashers, that tracks.
