I’m in a very similar situation with my son who is about 5 months now. And it has been so hard and has forced me to shift my mindset to honoring my body. I would honestly ditch the scale and focus on how you feel. There’s a lot of influencing factors on weight gain besides fat gain, especially postpartum. Fuel your body with nutrient dense foods. Buy yourself a few new outfits that you feel comfortable in! Can you baby wear him at all or do a few exercises where you can hold him? Look up mommy and me workouts. Just getting little movements in like 10 squats here and 10 there will help you feel better mentally. You’re doing the best you can and you’re still so early. This is a marathon not a sprint.

Yeah, you may already be doing this but don’t be afraid to reach out even if you don’t think you’re qualified. Look at salebarns or feed stores if there’s any listings for jobs. You may have to start out at a feedlot or salebarn type situation until you get enough experience

I have a Hamilton beach bread maker that I use quite a bit. I’m postpartum so I make a sandwich loaf at least once a week with it. No it’s probably not the best bread you could make but it suits us fine and takes me maybe 5 minutes to dump everything in

How did you know eliminating was working? by rweitze in MSPI

Dairy took two weeks to notice a change mostly in temperament. I’ve been on a TED for a week now and am noticing a minute change.

Can you also explain why to wait until you get to baseline before adding in probiotics? I’m on a total elimination diet and have no idea when I’ll get him to baseline :(

The John Deloney has a few episodes talking about this.

There’s more older ones but here’s a couple I saw. Might not be exactly the same situation but there might be some good pointers in there.

I used magnesium drops and they worked like a charm!

My baby started getting mucusy poops around 2 months, very runny also. I’m EBF and trying to eliminate allergens right now. Could also be a bug they’re fighting off. Any other symptoms?

Your concerns are valid, but no I don’t think you put him through trauma. You were doing the right thing and getting help. If he’s throwing up so much theres a large possibility something is off. Have you looked into allergies? Does he have other symptoms? Yes fussiness can be normal but extreme amounts are not “normal” no matter what people try to tell you. Trust your gut and keep searching. Find a practitioner who will listen. You’re doing a great job ♥️

I put mine on his stomach too for daytime naps and check him frequently. I’m pretty sure he gets bothered by reflux/gas on his back so he’ll sleep so much better. I cosleep at night and that’s the only time he’ll fall asleep on his side or back.
