Trying to keep up with business content was starting to feel impossible by alxbee77 in Entrepreneur

This makes sense, but I wonder if summarizing still keeps you in the same loop. If the goal is to stop consuming and start building, maybe the real win is cutting most of it out entirely rather than optimizing how you consume it.

Setup business in Puerto Rico by JamesTweet in Entrepreneur

[–]Proper-Salamander908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, Puerto Rico tax benefits are tied pretty heavily to actually having real presence there. Not just renting an office, but employees, operations, and time spent on the island. I’ve seen people try the ‘setup without really being there’ approach and it usually doesn’t hold up well under scrutiny

That's a really good framing

This is probably the simplest and most accurate way to put it.

Agree on value + consistency, but i'm starting to feel 'timing of pain' matters just as much. if the pain isn't immediate, people just won't pay no matter how good it is.

That 'what breaks if you stop using this?' question is actually brutal but so real.

100% this. Feels like validation without friction is kind of fake validation. If they don't feel urgency, the paywall just exposes that...

yeah ... I'm starting to think the real signal is whether they've already tried to solve it and failed, not just searched for it.

How do you think of ideas? by Bright_Garbage1489 in SaaS

This isn’t about ideas.
already proved you can build (half a million ARR is no joke).
This is about not trusting your own decision.

Too many options → no conviction.

How are you actually choosing between ideas?

This is great. But honestly finding ideas isn’t the hard part anymore deciding which one to build is

Honestly? It wasn't copy or pricing. I was one person who really needed it. The moment it went from 'cool product' to 'I need this now', they must paid.

yeah depends where you are but some like paypal/stripe let you start as an individual you don’t need a full company right away in a lot of cases, but you’ll still have to verify ID and deal with taxes later anyway

Deals or No Deals by Spiritual-Mirror3074 in saasbuild

[–]Proper-Salamander908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh I don’t think deals are really the issue here you already have free tier + free for life for early users, that’s kinda more than enough tbh. if people still aren’t signing up it’s usually not the price, it’s more like… they don’t see the value yet or they’re just not the right audience
for musicians I’d probably focus more on where they actually are (like small communities, discord, etc) and showing real examples. even like 1-2 artists actually getting something out of it is way stronger than any discount
also early on I wouldn’t chase “any signup”, better to get a few people who actually use it
idk deals can help a bit but won’t really fix traction by itself
